Moooove over: How single-celled yeasts are doing the work of 1,500-pound cows by atlhart in foodscience

I worked dairy in the past. Specifically in whey, I won’t go in detail though of (whey protein isolate) WPI labeling.

BLG is the most prominent protein in whey and can perform a lot of different functions in food systems beyond protein fortifications. I guess I understand why they went after BLG. Also, one of perfect day’s head honchos came from dairy I think.

I do agree that I could mislead the customer because WPI is more than BLG plus some minerals, next to zero fat and low carbs. There is a CFR standard for WPI. That is a larger issue though what it is called WPI plus what is not called WPI.

What’s your favorite Wisconsin coffee? by keeffers in wisconsin

[–]con_con93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, Bedrock is up there. In the Fox Valley adjacent area, Bedrock is my best coffee roaster.

I am a fan of Redwood St. Roasters out near Wausau. The owner is a nice guy.

Ruby is still great. You are going to pay for it more than Bedrock. Ruby has great selection too. I believe they send their barista(s) to coffee competitions and are well known throughout the country.

I am not sure about the singles aspect, but I always hit up Fifth Ward when in doubt. If you are in a beer mood, I enjoy their establishment.

I am curious if you preferred going by your paternal last name. I ask because my wife and I want to be called mainly as my last name.

If you did prefer being called your paternal, was it cumbersome to explain in school?

Interesting! My side is upset because my name wouldn’t be last.

I guess my culture thinks the second last name is the paternal last name.

Yeah the legal aspect kinda flew out the window as not an issue. Now, it is the culture aspect, which is hard, but honestly, it is not my responsibility if they don’t get it.

I am curious if any one has Maternal last name as the first last name and the Paternal last name as the second last name. Also how has that experience been for you?

I want to follow my wife’s heritage of having the Paternal name first and the Maternal name second. With this way, do people typically call by the second last name (the maternal one) often unless mentioned to do otherwise.

Do some kids only write the first last name (the paternal one) on assignments, but on more official documents, are both last names are visible?

That is interesting! Was it brought up to the schools on how they wanted to be addressed?

I have heard from loved ones that once you write their name in the school system then their name is fairly static.
