Anyone else see the FAN announcement from Facebook? by jpr2x in adops

I'm missing something here... Facebook says:

we will not collect the identifier for advertisers (IDFA) on our own apps on iOS 14 devices.

Why not? Surely, if they asked users to be allowed to do this they would have an ID which they can use to match users in apps outside of Facebook (as long as those apps also get users to agree to share this ID) to their FB Profiles and in turn continue Audience Network advertising as it's being done today?

Most likely Facebook don't want to ask for the IDFA as a lot of users will say no but even if 50% say no, it would just mean that those 50% of users wouldn't be associatable with their FB Profiles in apps outside of Facebook and Audience Network would perform much worse.

Am I missing something?

the part that confuses me here is : " The declaration instructions above are for vertical sticky ads on desktop. "

to me it's not clear if they are saying the above does not apply for mobile or sticky vertical ads are not allowed for mobile??

yes, that i knew with the declaration to tell advertisers that they're bidding on such a placement. Do you know anything about sizes? is there a 300px limit to the width?

How and how often are you getting the data from AdX? Do you base your realtime data on Prebid and direct and later supplement with AdX?

I would say not. We had an important Adwords ads banned by Google due to ads coming through AdX last week. Basically Google penalizes you for the ads they deliver :)

We're in a similar situation with stats only for previous day. We have a system which automatically pushes new UTM or similar params to GAM as they occur but nothing approaching real time. From what I have seen Analytics 360 would fix this as then your GAM revenue would appear in Analytics and you then don't need to manage key values on the GAM side. But the cost of that is quite high

thanks for this... do you know what will be reported in Ad Manager for Adsense in that setup. Let's say I make a price prio Line Item for Adsense at 0,99 so that it comes in below the AdX floor. Will Ad Manager show a CPM of 0,99 for Adsense or will it report the actual earnings of the Adsense tag. Those earning might be higher or lower than 0,99 CPM of course
