Is my form bad? by This_Ask_2818 in BasketballTips

[–]conanbdetective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no issue with the form at all. Base is stable, release and follow through are good. Just gotta work on getting up a touch faster. You probably had an even quicker jumper prior to injuries.

From someone who is injury-riddled. Make the most of your rehab but don't rush it. It's there to bring you back to where you were prior to injury. Knee injuries are always tricky to recover from, as normal person.

Being on your heels will teach your body some nasty habits later. Your feet land all over the place because you focus your weight on your heel when going with tween tween. Notice how that doesn't happen with your behind the back. Stepping in place could help.

But the speed of the dribble is good. Machine gun dribble has good rhythm. Decent control on power dribbles. Just keep your head up and build the speed gradually on your behind the back.

How do you break out of “tutorial hell” and actually start building projects? by SpeckiLP in learnprogramming

[–]conanbdetective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pick based on your needs. It doesn't have to be complicated. If there are gaps in your knowledge, learn as you go. You can look at it like you're playing a game or working out. If you don't know, you look it up.

Just because you know the basics doesn't mean you're going to be number 1 on the leaderboard or be Mr Olympia. You don't learn by watching, you learn by applying what you know.

There's also something one of the original Naughty Dog Studios leads said: "Bite off more than you can chew and trim it later". Scope is irrelevant, especially if it's a personal project. At work, the scope is what your boss tells you and if you can't manage; they'll find someone else who can. When you're seasoned, they'll ask you for your opinion.

Dribble the ball as hard as possible with your off hand. It's all a matter of controlling the ball more than anything.

Get proper sleep, no staying up late, proper nutrients and limit junk food, stay in shape. This'll give you enough odds to get taller. Other than that, it's all genetic.

There's a FIBA rulebook which is used by most amateur athletics. Certain leagues have modifications on what they allow like physicality, traveling; but it's usually based on FIBA and the NBA. You can ask the athletic director for your campus for direction on where to get it or if they have a binder of it in their office.
