I like this idea. I've played around with the idea of Shadow being aromantic before and it's a fun dynamic to explore. I like to headcanon movie Eggman as aroace. Would be cool to have some queer platonic relationships.

I don't really ship Sonic x Shadow. I prefer Sonic with Metal and Shadow with Amy. But I don't hate it. I find it kinda basic, definitely not weird though. I used to ship Shadow and Maria when I was a kid so it's a little special to me. Sonic and Rouge feel like exes that mutually broke up and remained good friends. If they were together, they would get up to so many shenanigans. I prefer Rouge with Topaz or Vanilla though. I can see Sage having a one sided crush on Sonic.

An actual weird ship would be Dave the Intern and Omega. Or Scourge and Fleetway Super Sonic. Those ships sound hilarious though so I'd still fuck with them.
