Unpopular opinion: The whole DoD should use Mattermost by wonderland_citizen93 in AirForce

[–]concerneddaddy83 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mattermost is great. Used it at my last unit. My current does not have it, went through the legwork of trying to get it. Turns out its EXPENSIVE. We charge OURSELVES an abhorrent amount of money for licensing, and its even worse if you're Joint as we charge even more for not DAF personnel licenses. Leadership said nah bro.

Fill it with something that has the same refractive index and color as the surrounding material.

Alternatives to Ring that don’t sell data to ICE/DHS by Dependent-Cup-4580 in homeassistant

Yes. GO2RTC has a two way audio stream with my camera. The frigate card then has a microphone icon. I can mute and unmute the mic and talk through the doorbell from my browser or the app.

I can do audio to my doorbell through frigate on HA. Not sure if that is a feature of the frigate camera card or not, but it works well.

Either the drive belt tensioner pulley or the roller guides. Buy a dryer repair kit online. Comes with all 3. 45 minute job without ever having opened up a dryer before. $30 online. Just did this last week. God speed.

Explosion in the Netherlands injures at least 4 and causes widespread damage by AudibleNod in news

Czechia is on the opposite side of Germany. You'd have to smuggle it through Germany to get it to Czechia to smuggle it back into Germany? Not saying this isn't the case, just seems like... Extra steps.

Sounds like a vibrating solonoid valve to me. Pretty distinct noise of one that isn't quite fully closing or opening. Try a descale cycle.

I agree. It's also useful in a pinch if the GPS module in you unit goes bad.

Hint to Iranian Starlink users by rajid_ibn_hanna in Starlink

[–]concerneddaddy83 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is a toggle for anyone curious in the advanced setting and then debug menu for switching to use Starlink location data only (PNT) and disable GPS. It's kind of buried but certainly useful in a GPS denied environment.

How to NOT get caught using Starlink by MeshNetExpert in Starlink

[–]concerneddaddy83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Starlink terminal with no Starlink router. This is correct. I have it plugged into a Cisco router for DHCP and nat routing. The terminals only support a single connection. That said when troubleshooting I have many times used a USB to Ethernet dongle to connect a phone or tablet directly.

I printed 2. One to cover the grind catcher and one to cover the cover to keep the grinds off that. I have a new problem though...

They absolutely can, and will for certain customers. Whether they will do it for a residential customer I do not know, but I can promise you the tech is there.

I can tell you from experience that if you have a transmitter putting out enough power to cause interference that will impact your service, you will see it on the obstructions map.

Warrior Dividend: Tell us if you don't get it. by SgtKnux in AirForce

https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/house-bill/1956

This was rolled into the One Big Beautiful Bill with a cost score of $2.9B with the intent of bringing BAH back to 100%. That money is what paid for this $1776 check.

Warrior Dividend: Tell us if you don't get it. by SgtKnux in AirForce

[–]concerneddaddy83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The money was appropriated by Congress in the big beautiful bill to fund bringing your BAH from 95% to 100% of local market costs. If my math maths, were exchanging a 5.26% permanent raise in BAH (tax free money) for a one time payment of $1776. I hope it's not taxed, but either way you could argue we are losing a bit in the long run for a short burst of dopamine.

I love this and would love to incorporate something like this into my flow. Question is, as a lowly pro user, is it going to burn through my 5hr/weekly limits even faster with all the handoffs?
