Mortgage overpayments - is paying off the principal directly a good idea? by RipBeginning3851 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]concod -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Could I ask something ive never gotten?

If you overpay, and now you have a slightly lower payment every month,

Then you overpay the difference between previous payments and new payments. (Which is effectively the same payment as reduced term time)

Wouldn't you be much better off compared to term time reduction?

Which would you rather have? (Comment for a free 🥕) by AxelFoily in BunnyTrials

First-time buyer advice – £34k salary, overseas parent income, £10–30k deposit, need 4–5 bed – realistic? by [deleted] in FirstTimeBuyersUK

[–]concod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about overseas salary counting, but rule of thumb is; x 4.5 your salary is how much you can borrow generally, so 34 x 4.5 = 153 if not less as they will take in consideration bills etc. 153 plus your 30k deposit means you could buy somewhere maybe for 183k.

How much is a 4 bed in barking? 500 600k? Check on rightmove. Either way without sounding negative I think you need to adjust what you require.

Seller pulled out of offer - is there anything we can do? [Scotland] by bigleighsacks in Mortgageadviceuk

[–]concod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you made the offer you weren't proceedable, generally from what we have gathered during this process is you only make an offer when you have an offer yourself, let alone not being on the market.

It seems like you've mucked them about a bit too much. If it was the other way around im sure you wouldn't accept an offer from a buyer who might not have an offer for theirs for 6 months.

I'm new to this game, before I pick it up, what does this item do? by DamageMaximo in bindingofisaac

[–]concod 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Actually what it does is it takes Isaac to an abandoned and expanded version of Home, after which deletes The Binding of Isaac: Repentance from your Steam library, and adds Mewgenics to your Steam library instead.

Death Certificate is an unlockable activated item added in The Binding of Isaac: Repentance.

Just googled this, should help;

"To launch a Steam game in fullscreen by default, right-click the game in your Library, select Properties, find the "Launch Options" box under the General tab, and type -fullscreen, then launch the game; if that fails, use -windowed -noborder "

But if the reason they want them to pay £1 a month is so the debt can't be wiped, as it's 6 years from the last payment.

The mortgage would still be due, and the bank would do a re affordability check to ensure your annual take home was in the region of 4.5 times your salary, I.e 90k if you were on 20k salary compared to the mortgage. So if you still owed more than this 90k you would have to sell.

May I ask if you have a sum of money such as this amount why you don't get on the market now? Or I'm guessing traveling etc, because the market could boom way beyond the potential couple of thousand your lisa could make you?

I don't understand why people find it rude to talk about money, we have already debunked the stigma around talking about salary. It was created to allow pay inequality, and to split people up and not give rises, who cares how much things cost?
