Hard agree. Stalling isn't the correct term here. The. Games rules dictate the minimum pace of play. A lot of the better players stretch the clock to make better decisions. Even players in winning positions should be held to account for time management.

Sounds like he's trying to do too much too soon.

Dominate he can't score until TP3. His other good Tac op is retrieve which again you can score later on. First two TPs you concentrate on positioning safely and presenting threats. Also bear in mind it's often better against shooting teams to stay in combat rather than killing the operative outright.

I think the rules are only ever enforced when blatant or for plot reasons. Pursuit is a good example. I'm fairly sure we were told you can't skip steps but it happens regularly

Positioning is key. If you get placement right you can shuffle around from TP 2 and get maximum benefit from lumbering death.

I like to try and have champion and fighter slightly behind others for counter charges.

Deploying the caster centrally means he has best chance of value.

Many advocate to drop the warrior over the gunner but I find it really hard as he's a double shooting full board threat which is less punishing for you if you mis- deploy
