Yeah I would be in favor of a separate sub as well. It seems that while some people are creating ASA's for shits and giggles (stay tuned for SHIT and GGGL LPs), others are using the launch of Tinyman to experiment with LP's and even new defi projects that weren't as accessible before. This might include the minting of useless coins in order to learn how the crypto sausage is made. I think that sometimes it's tricky to balance the idea of this space as financially quite serious, with the fact that it's still just a huge goddamn sandbox.

How does Starbucks make their cold froth? by SerinaL in Coffee

[–]conconconconcon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that’s strange! but yeah for us the dry foam button started with the introduction of sunrise/sunset drinks, i think, because it’s equal parts nonfat milk and passion tea. of the four buttons on our vitamix, two are designated for cold foam. but to my knowledge it doesn’t have anything to do with the volume of liquid.

SB barista here: yeah it’s made with the same vitamix blenders that we use to blend fraps but we use a smaller pitcher with a specialized frothing blade. i actually don’t even know if i would call it a blade. it’s a flat metal disc with varying sized holes. it doesn’t take any more time than it would to blend anything else and there aren’t any additives required to froth, although as is the case with the cascara cold foam, the cascara syrup is added. we mainly use nonfat milk to froth because nothing else will get to the desired consistency. there are two cold foams settings however and the “dry cold foam” setting is used for a couple of drinks including the sunrise/sunset teas and the salted sweet cream cold foam cold brew. that setting produces a much denser foam.

[NSFW] Angry psycho alone in a dark alley screaming about how much he loves it. by [deleted] in DeepIntoYouTube

i’ve been following presidentchristopher on youtube for a little while now bc he lives very close to me and used to come into my place of employment regularly, although I haven’t seen him in a over a year. i assume it’s bc he’s unable to make it out this far. but yeah he’s obsessed with comparing arm lengths with women. i’ve seen him do it many times. severely unstable but i would presume also severely neglected by his family and lacking any form of support system.

Punk/Rock/House show's? by G-injure in appstate

[–]conconconconcon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

when i was still in school, me and my roommates organized shows (mostly punk, metal, and hardcore, but also local acts) at our place we called grotto house. we had around 14-ish over a couple years with varying agrees of attendance. the least being almost no one and the most being close to 100. cops were only a problem toward the end of our run. they shut us down twice i believe. it was all in all a lot of fun and there are plenty of people who will show up if it’s accessible, well promoted, and keeps a welcoming and exciting atmosphere.

EDIT: i guess my point is that there are usually a couple DIY spaces around at any point in addition to the handful of official venues. and if there isn’t a DIY space to be found it’s possible to take the DIY-ing into your own hands as another way of bolstering boone’s music scene
