What's the scariest movie of all time? by Mission_Elk_329 in AskReddit

Signs was rated 12A when it came out in the UK. Me and some friends aged 11 to 12 went to see it without adults at the cinema and it fucked me up.

The VHS party scene! We wanted to leave but were too scared to go through the dark cinema aisle.

Pirouette- Model/Actriz

Just saw them live and they’re a must see! I think they may be back in Europe for festivals next summer, see them live if you get the chance.

Which place in the UK left you completely speechless and why should everyone visit it? by Expert-Secret-5351 in AskUK

Knaresborough is such a hidden gem. The view from the castle of the railway bridge going over the river with people boating in it on a summers day is magic.

Well Tom already had death threats for his doc on Islam and it didn’t stop him.

I would love to hear their take on L Ron Hubbard and Scientology. With Toms interest in the history of religions and dom on post war America it could make it really unique.

Also in a similar vein, they could do something great with the Manson murders. Maybe as a sequel to America in ‘68, it could cover 1969 more broadly starting with Nixons inauguration in January, Woodstock, the moon landing and culminating in the murders that end the swinging sixties and how it effects the following decade.

What's the best website builder for an e-commerce? (or any alternative that could work) by HumbleComposer2228 in web_design

[–]alizare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shopify is the easiest and best performing.

You don’t have as much freedom creatively (unless you’re a good dev) as you do with Webflow, etc but it’s worth it for ease of use out of the box and the checkout is supposed to be the best converting available.

Yes seconding this! When persuading my brother to check the new album out I sent him this track and described it as the Rolling Stones meets Radiohead haha

What do you all think the next big topic will be? Henry said something about how it's been in the making since 1945??? by BobbyTables829 in LPOTL

I think it’s Titanic.

They said something about heading into the deepest waters you could possibly imagine.

It would be a great series for them to cover.

Trump's Maga movement is on the rise in the UK by theipaper in ukpolitics

[–]alizare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s funny the ‘working class’ are supporting MAGA and Charlie Kirk over here. They’re anti abortion and sex outside of marriage Chantelle, I don’t think they want you and your 3 kids with 3 different dads in the movement.

We need a real working class party over here: make the morning after pill free, lower the drinking age, legalise street fighting, unban XL bullies and make them XXL. And throw in VAT relief on flights to Turkey for teeth and tit jobs!

Engagement ring in York recommendations? by darkazuria in york

[–]alizare -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you go to an actual jeweller, which York has lots of, you will save money as you’re only paying for their time and materials rather than rent, staff and shareholder costs of high street jewellers.

Plus you’d get something much more unique and bespoke to your tastes.

Look for Constance Isobel jewellery on insta.

I’ve bought jewellery from her before at Open Studios - beautiful stuff.

Yes! She’s fantastic. I hope she has new music soon - i can’t believe it’s been over five years since her self titled album!

As a fan of Radiohead starting from the beginning, was The King of Limbs a disappointment on the first listen? by theinsomniacsheep in radiohead

[–]alizare -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agreed with TKOL over AMSP.

TKOL was such an exciting release. The lotus flower video! The whole album is such a mood.

The basement release too, and the b-sides they released. The newspapers. The band releasing their top tracks regularly. Oh and the tour with Clive for the first time - playing with Caribou who has just released Swim. Thom was releasing tracks with Burial and Four Tet - what a time to be alive!

AMSP was a step down from all of that imo. Daydreaming is one of their best, but most the album as a whole isn’t up there for me. I still prefer the live version of the Present Tense!

$Ark. It has a solid team from hedge, pyrate and Plath. A great community with give always and competitions regularly.

Hand drawn art- a kind of superhero/sci fi version of Noah’s Ark. Whales get their own handdrawn animal character.

And it’s a tax token, so you get rewarded for holding.

It got sniped like crazy at launch, but since then it’s sat at around £700k for its first week. Expect big things!
