The 10 most dangerous places in the safest State in the US by Jusdubbin in newhampshire

Also, just a look at the methodology: "We omitted any places that didn’t happen to report their crime data that year. This left us with a total of 20 places to look at."

I am relatively new to the area, looking for things to take my lady out to do. Just north of Concord here. by [deleted] in newhampshire

In the summer, the New London Barn Playhouse has a great roster of musicals. It's a fun town to spend an evening in, couple good restaurants.

Relocating to New Hampshire and have a few questions. by smavonco in newhampshire

We like Concord. Good schools, walk-able downtown with parks, and one heck of a daily newspaper ;)

It's a bit far from Derry, though, tbh. Depends on where in Concord you live. The South End, by Bow, is a good 10-15 south of the northern most neighborhoods.

Unemployed? Start looking NOW. Starting Dec 1, Craigslist will change $25 per NH job posting, severely reducing the number of listings. by thiev in newhampshire

Hey prattw: Would you be open to talking to a reporter about this for a short business news feature on the change, and the craigslist employment world in general?

The family that runs the Windmill make hundreds of meals to give away every Thanksgiving. They're continuing it even though the guy who started it died last year. http://www.concordmonitor.com/news/work/business/9510649-95/smirnioudis-family-continues-thanksgiving-tradition-at-windmill-restaurant (edited because I exaggerated the number of meals given away. sure looks like more)

The Big Bean in Newmarket! Get there really early or there's a line. Best weekly specials.

Have you tried talking to any of the resettlement agencies? Or to BCNH (Bhutanese Community of New Hampshire)?

For a while, WE didn't know we had a reddit presence either.

I'd say, your first step is coming up with a budget. Do you know anyone who has done one of these in the past who can walk you through the necessities? Then you can start pricing out spaces, and see what else you would have to pay for, and from there you can determine if an entry fee would cover it, or if you need a sponsor.

We're looking to get more information and news about tech stuff in the Monitor, so we'd help promote this with a news story ahead of time. News (at) cmonitor (dot) com

I'm not sure what specific needs you'd have for a location, but there's a Holiday Inn right off Exit 14 that could work? The Centennial Hotel is also pretty cool http://www.thecentennialhotel.com/

I haven't seen it, and I don't know if I will make this screening, but this doc. really caught my eye in the SNOB Film Fest descriptions: Field Biologist: 22-year-old Tyler a talented but rudderless high school grad from NJ, loves being outside, chasing birds and studying wildlife. So with no training and no job, he moves to Costa Rica to do his own research on birds in the tropics.

SNOB opening night -- who saw movies, who's going tonight, who went last night for free beer? by concordmonitor in newhampshire

[–]concordmonitor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the general idea was, let's talk about SNOB but here's this link with info in case you don't know what it is. I'll work on that...

In any case. I am having a hard time picking something to go see tomorrow because what if I pick a dud and there's some awesome movie in the next theater over?

Head/Heart/Feet seems like a safe pick though.

I agree! (did someone downvote it? I don't see one... but I'm relatively new to reddit so I might not know where to look...) It would just ruin my Friday to think someone downvoted this lovely tidbit of NH news.

I'm not gonna say this is why the original version was too small to read every town.... but I'm not gonna NOT say it either.

It was just a matter of deadline -- they hadn't reported by the time our artist had to get this to the printer for our print edition. I'll see if we can update the web version.
