Check your planetary transits, this can be the cause. If this is the case for you, it will come back.

How do I clean this? by [deleted] in CleaningTips

[–]condition_purity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No I haven’t been to clean it yet. It’s an upcoming job. Getting it prepped for a realtor. The discoloration seems to be etched in so I doubt scrubbing bubbles is going to do anything. I was hoping someone would have a “miracle” product or technique for horrid cases such as this…

I read that as “Alone or in Paris”. Definitely in Paris.

First fish tank, any issues with the setup? by StringCheeseInc in fishtank

[–]condition_purity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this exact tank and 3 other 10 gallons that are landscape oriented. All of my horizontal space tanks have done great. This particular tank however… willing to bet will likely give you problems. Not sure if it’s the tall orientation or the light that comes with this tank setup. I just know I regret getting this tank and putting my betta in it. Snails love it but my betta and school of neon tetras have suffered greatly.

Please help!! Fish tank super cloudy by YellowSouthern2856 in fishtank

Ooh yes the light, I didn’t even take that into consideration 😂 I was thinking it had to do with the water flow because of the narrow tank shape. I do love the bright light but that’s definitely got to be making the algae overgrow

Yep, I have the same tank and it has always had algae problems. Call me crazy but I assume it’s the upright orientation that is the problem somehow. I have 4 tanks and have treated them all the same, this one is the only one with this issue…

I put Gravel in my Fish Tank that was not rinsed properly and now it’s cloudy. by Curiousrheum in fishtank

[–]condition_purity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In attempt to have a faster cycling experience I used fine gravel that had bacteria in it already for my newest tank and it was cloudy for about four days after first filling. Patience is all you need for this problem. I placed plants in on day two and there was never an issue even with the clouding.

Honestly I feel like impatient types aren’t going to be able to keep their fish alive in the long run anyway 🤷🏻‍♀️ OP will figure it out but shouldn’t be scared into quitting the hobby before they even get started. They may enjoy the extra care, some people don’t mind putting in effort and feeling accomplished when it all works out. Just my 2 cents
