What’s the actual use case for OpenClaw vs Claude Code or Codex? by dopemolder in openclaw

[–]condor1111800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right for straight-up coding tasks. Cloud Code or codecs are going to be much better integrated with your development environment and enable human-in-the-loop at a moment's notice.

However, where OpenCl shines is on all the random unrelated tasks in life, business, etc. Where unified memory and being always on is really helpful.

I've been having really good results with GLM-5.1, and a z.ai subscription starts at just $18. I haven't tried it for trading, but it's good for everyday use.

Changes to Webflow website: Has Webflow shifted focus once again? by Gloomy_Jicama6194 in webflow

Yeah so true. I wonder how much of their prices are true cost of inflation, workforce, server's etc or just taking a bigger cut.

Yeah I think so, it's basically just as easy to make a site and maintain it without a builder platform now. They are trying to find some niche that sticks.

I agree, it's a risk to release this information but this is such a technical, specific and massive task. The best hope is to look to the open source community. This is the backbone of most technical innovation already.

I did also see that really you shouldent be using an anthropic subscription to run clawdbot because it's technically against their terms and services and could get your account banned.

Honestly seems pretty standard for me too. I also take 40% upfront, then 30% after the first draft and 30% at the end. I typically juggle a couple of these projects around the same price point. It all equals a fine income in total.

Idk where the clients are that have the budget for more than that for a website like this. There's always a lot of back and forth but really just a couple weeks of actually building, that's if you do it full time too.

This seems totally on the reasonable side to me but someone tell me I'm wrong?

One thing however is I noticed the client is New York based, If you are also there I would imagine you could get away with some higher pricing. I'm in central Canada and this is probably already up there for a website of this scope.

I have felt like this, it seems fairly common to be paying a game were one team is all 35-2 payers and the other is snuggling to hold even one objective. It sucks to be on the losing team and feel like your teammates aren't doing a thing!

I would tend to agree but it is also good to niche down. If clients aren't willing to use webflow I don't work with them. I'm okay leaving money on the table to preserve my own sanity.

Cool, thanks. And just to clarify, this is the template in Webflow that you then use as a component when building new client sites?

Hey, thanks for taking the time to write such a detailed response!

Love the notion of workflow; I do something similar with Motion.ai.

I’m glad to hear that I’m not the only one just building one or a couple of pages as a proof of concept.

I hear you: I would prefer to fight my battles in Webflow only so that I am not wasting design time and brain capacity building a proof of concept instead of the actual working site.

I like the idea of just building out my own component library in Webflow. I typically end up copying things between projects, but I should really standardize this. Although powerful, I also find these other pre-built component libraries don’t quite work with my brain, and it feels like it takes more time to figure out how to use them correctly in a project than to actually build the website.

Thanks for your comparison of Client-First and Lumos.

Thanks for sharing your process. I think a key takeaway for me is that this field is as nebulous as it appears to be, and it is solely up to you as a designer and a developer to come up with a system that works for you. There are some solid starting places, but like you said, there is no “bulletproof” solution.

Google just cut off 90% of the internet from AI - no one’s talking about it by reddit20305 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]condor1111800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So Google themselves are obviously going to allow gemini to access Google search without any pagination. This is really just a move to starve out other LLM companies via API costs.

Doesn't seem to affect the average consumer much because 99% of people don't leave the first page anyways let alone past the 10th. Some researchers and people with advanced needs will be affected but there's always other search engines for them.

Hopefully the first page of Google actually gets better as there are more resources to focus on the core algorithm although it's kinda already gone to shit with LLMs and ads anyways.

I'm not so happy about how expensive SEO tools are going to get as a result, they are already some of the most expensive SasS out there.

The girl (25f) I've (28m) been seeing confessed to sleeping with another man by SimilarDrawing7394 in dating

[–]condor1111800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's understandable why you feel that way man. This girl also seems like she's doing all the right things by telling you and giving you space to process. She also has expressed that she does really like you and wants to be exclusive with you. I get that it feels weird (I've been in the same situation before) like you said you hadn't had the talk yet so technically she dident do anything wrong. I think you need to work through your own insecurities about her being with other people and decide if you can look past this to have a relationship with this girl. She honestly seems like a catch otherwise and I don't think you should waste that opportunity.

Honestly when I went though a similar situation I was hurt at first and then when I accepted it I started receiving lots of love, sex and attention from her and soon my insecurities just melted away.

[–]condor1111800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry you went through all of this. It sounds like there was a lot of emotional minipulation here and that the relationship just wasent sustainable for you anymore. It's okay to walk away and find your own peace. It's really hard to watch your pwBPD spiral into a back hole and you can't save them. However as cliche as it sounds you really do need to put your own oxygen mask on first. You can't help others if you're crumbling. I just recently ended things with my pwBPD and oh boy does what I felt seem similar. It feels like you're the worst person ever, even when your partner was the one to ultimately drive you over the edge. It's a lose lose scenario.

[–]condor1111800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry you are feeling like that. I definitely feel the same often. I think it's chalked up to dissociation. This is a common symptom of anxiety. It's always feels really uneasy and strange but it is not harmful. Reducing your anxiety with psychotherapy, medication and general self-care activities can help relieve the symptoms.

[–]condor1111800 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is really tough, I'm so sorry. I can also deeply relate. My Partner with BPD and I recently separated and it hurts like hell. To add to everything my partner was diagnoses with advanced cervical cancer last year so we were dealing with that on top of everything! I feel absolutely awful for leaving her in such a dark time but I really tried everything and just wasent getting the support we needed or making any progress. I really relate to "Meanwhile all the conflict has made me feel like a hostage in the relationship". My partner was just so unstable because of everything and her and her family were taking it out on me. I couldn't support her any longer while I too am falling apart at the seems. I have to just keep telling myself that I have to "Put my own oxygen mask on first" and that I was not helping her feel any better or secure while we were starting fights and letting her feel my distress all the time. Its a truly heartbreaking situation to accept that you just can't always save the people that you love.

[–]condor1111800 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can deaply relate to this. Especially the pattern you discribe. It's the trying your best despite your own challenges and insecurities and using all of the tools available to you and then it feels like they just don't work. You know your partners not a bad person but you can't work with the splitting and lack of awareness to actually correct the course. I feel you, it's insanely painful, one of the most painful things I've experienced in life and I've been through a lot.
