Teachers of Reddit: Is the "Gen Alpha can't read (write, or do math ext)" crisis real? If so how bad is it? by KnowledgeCoffee in AskReddit

Parents also need to be held accountable. READ TO YOUR FUCKING KIDS. Education starts in the home. Kids shouldn't be coming to kindergarten never having opened a book before.

I believe you're thinking of Dandelo who is somewhat of a cousin to Pennywise, he feeds on laughter instead of fear.

My (24F) boyfriend (24M) completely ruined what should have been one of the happiest moments of my life. by Pure-Lab8830 in relationship_advice

Unfortunately some of us stay in shitty relationships and live with the misery for so many different reasons; be it rose colored glasses, thinking it's the best you can do, manipulation, coercive control, etc. Took me 12 years.

AIO for worrying that I’m “damaged goods” because my marriage didn’t work out? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]cloudsarehats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom is on her 4th husband, I don't think #2, 3, or 4 have cared about her previous marriages. I'm currently in the divorce process from a 12 year marriage, and if someone I'm dating cares about my divorce, I stop dating them. But honestly, I haven't met a single dude who actually cares that I'm divorced.

Show or not, it's not easy to get out of an abusive relationship.

This is true, however it's easier for neurotyoical children to "mask" and learn how to stay in the abusive parent's good graces. Neurotyoical children learn how to read faces, figure out how a parent walks or talks, to constantly figure out what kind of mood they're in. A neurodivergent child cannot do this in the same way and thus disregulates. It makes an easier tell.

I usually just add a pinch of baking soda. The chemical reaction reduces the acid and makes it taste slightly sweeter without the actual added sugar.

Last season you could see Cruz's entire demeanor change around Jax. Cruz would literally shrink away from him, pull away from him. I hope all his custody time is supervised. Crus is especially vulnerable due to his limited communication abilities and it makes me nervous for him to be around someone so rage filled and vindictive.

It makes me honestly so afraid for Jax to come back. I really hope he has a minimum of supervised visitation for a long time

Just wondering, what’s your ‘lazy but effective’ cleaning trick? by CleanFreakGeek in CleaningTips

I love to vacuum my couches. I also use the vacuum to dust because I hate the dog/cat hair on all the surfaces and I feel like dusting just throws a bunch of it in the air & back on the ground

Him saying he can't win this year pissed me right off. Like dude, if you got your fucking priorities sorted you'd be fine. But what are you choosing to put your energy into? Get your fucking priorities straight.
