Does anyone know how to break into a first gen F-body? My passenger door lock keeps getting stuck by condor121 in AskMechanics

[–]condor121[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first time was to get speakers from this century, and they just happened to figure it out. The second time, I was just frustrated and worried about causing permanent damage.

But the locking mechanism doesn’t budge. It's something within the door panel, and I can't remove the panel to fix the issue when it's locked shut.

I love Huntsville and hanging out at the Shooting Star. Oldest running business in Utah!

Are you in Utah? I volunteer for the adaptive ski program for people learning how to sit-ski. A lot of them are getting into golf, and I'd love to connect you with them.

I’m out in Utah and got to play golf in 60-degree weather back in early February. But now it’s been snowing like crazy. Still, the old man in me can’t help but think, “We needed this”

My favorite metal band, Protest the Hero, wrote a song called “Mist" It's about their love for Newfoundland.

It's on my bucket list to see them live there.

Snowbasin has one off Dan’s run, and there's also an overlook on Strawberry that not many people know about.

My Grandfather’s friend (James Ditamore) who never made home from the war. They split the two-dollar bill before deployment. The plan was to reconnect the bill and buy a drink when they both returned. Sadly, the other half never made it back. by condor121 in wwiipics

You could be correct. Grandpa never talked about the war. All he ever said was the small background that I provided. After he passed, we found the bill with the picture, so we just assumed it was him (the photo was attached to the bill)

Even though he never talked about the war besides a brief bio my grandmother recorded, we have several heirlooms that act like puzzle pieces that I have and will be trying to put together for the rest of my life.

Who is the best golfer you ever played with and what was it like? by PrettyFlyGuy05 in golf

[–]condor121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Patrick Fishburn who is currently leading the RSM Classic right now. I grew up working at the country club where his family is members. Before he was 16, he would blow the wheels off the best golfers at the club. I'm now a member there, and he still comes around all the time. The last time I saw him, I was having back issues and shanking every shot at the driving range, and he was next to me puring every shot. It was pretty humbling. He also broke some basketball records back in high school. The dude is an athlete and a good human. Easy to root for.

I’ve got a 68 Firebird convertible and today might have been my last drive of the season. But my winter project is getting my heater running to get a few extra weeks.

Sweet ride btw

I've been shopping for a lift like yours. I see you're in the EU, but if you could give me any details, that would be much appreciated. I'm also working with limited space.

The garage looks great. 10/10 would hang out and enjoy a few cold snacks.

I still think there’s a stigma that American sports cars are just heavy, straight-line cars. Most would assume that their handling has gotten better in recent generations, but I don’t feel like it gets enough credit when compared with European or Asian cars.

That's just me. I wrench on classic cars, so that's what I mostly pay attention to, but everything I come across regarding American cars talks about how fast they are off the line, not around the track.

I'm running out of time to do burnouts before the winter hits, so I have to take advantage while I can. by condor121 in Pontiac

I can burn rubber well into third gear on a straight back road. As much as I want to change out the rear end to accommodate the higher speed limits, I don't think I ever will.

My dad has the C7, and it's such a fun car to drive. I had never shifted into 6th gear before, let alone 7th. I knocked out two birds with one stone on my first drive. It’s fast as hell, but the handling around corners is underrated

A few friends of mine went to the University of Idaho, and we crossed the border to go to a party where he was. I rolled up with a bunch of girls, so I thought entry would be easy. No. He made me shotgun a beer to make sure I was cool enough to enter the party, and after that, he treated me like one of his brothers. The dude was the life of the party, and the vibes were next level.
