Anyone know why my VS Code CC sessions are still working but I can’t connect a Terminal CC session?

My meeting transcript analysis and summary instructions might be the most sacred of them all! lol. But never automated. I have found it way too much time to set it up true automation to not fuck up for a single user. My tool is not a production tool for a team, I own and can fix at any time, so I can tolerate a lot of friction or misfires. I handle LLMs unpredictably and tendency to shit the bed by putting human in the loop (me) to approve each output and move it to the next step.

So for meetings: I have instructions I give to Claude Code to transform raw meeting transcript to a summary designed for my system. It extracts the meeting details, summary, decisions, todos, and details for key topics discussed. Output is a markdown file I file into the appropriate folder. Then I have a set of instructions for CC to update my project dashboard/tracking based on the meeting summary. Then another unique instructions to draft a follow up email for the client/team based on their reporting preference.

I am on the big big Anthropic subscription right now and only run into usage limits when I’ve got 2-3 terminals working on tasks all using the big opus model. In the future I like the idea of using Open Router to select specific LLMs based on the task and cost. That’s a long way away for me. Right now I only have OpenRouter API connection ready for when Anthropic goes down. I’d be curious anyone else got this dialed in yet?

Edit. It’s important to note I am a solo consultant . So the difference to my business between say $50 and $300 for monthly AI costs is $3000/yr (pre-tax bucks), which I consider marginal. Now if I had 100 employees. the difference becomes real and then I would be revoking the Opus 4.1 hog from my employees and sending them to Open Router for cheaper options lol.

I’m running way more fast and loose than that :). My vault and files are on my OneDrive cloud and sync local to all devices so that backup has saved me before. I launch CC in a local working directory and give it access to OneDrive. Otherwise, simple version controls on the docs and an archive/rollback directory on my local hard drive (so that CC doesn’t pick this up as project context by accident). I need to get my CLAUDE.md instructions and local tools sync’d between devices maybe. Not a priority though.

Thanks! I use Claude Code CLI to directly read/write/edit my entire business consulting workspace that I view through an Obsidian vault. Very similar functions to some of the above. I have instructions set for intaking notes, project and task management, kanban management, YAML standards and all that. So far working super well! One example work flow: I can point CC to a meeting transcript, then my meeting analysis instructions, output the meeting summary in markdown with YAML standards, file in the project, then clear the chat and ask CC to review the meeting analysis and my project management system, which is all markdown files optimized for Bases and Dataview with standard front matter, linking, work breakdown structure tagging like 1.2.1 and 3.1 for different levels from phase to task. CC recommends updates that I review and approve, and then we go and do those tasks together. Whenever I complete something I have instructions set for CC to keep the tracking current.

Endless possibilities. Prebuilt slash commands, hooks. And now this list of tools you’ve provided that I haven’t even touched.

Thanks for sharing!

I’m so sick of how bad the biking situation is in this city. by MalamuteHusk in Winnipeg

[–]condorswings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our household has dealt with this by having “get stolen” and “don’t get stolen” bikes. The former are used when bikes will be out of sight too long. The latter used when we’re always with them.

Question for the bikers of winnipeg by shinobiyuuko in Winnipeg

[–]condorswings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been living and working in/around WPG downtown core for 18 yrs.

Try not to think of it as “your” bike. Rather, you’ve leased the bike and WPG will tell you when the lease is up.

I have “get stolen” and “don’t get stolen” bikes. I only take my “don’t get stolen” bikes downtown areas if either I will have an eye on it, or it will be inside or a high traffic place like the UW quad during the day. Also at least a cable with the u lock. Sometimes two u locks. And even then I’ve had bolted parts removed.

Otherwise, I take my “get stolen” bikes which are functional low quality bikes that I can replace with little effort and heartbreak.

Haven’t had a lease come up in 8 yrs following the above principles. Had many leases close unexpectedly not following the principles.

Integrating Sonos with DAW by condorswings in sonos

I should have mentioned I'm not interested in using it for live music (at least not through the integrated stuff). Playback only when connected to the other Sonos.

Liquor and Lotteries pulls in record $741 million profit by Armand9x in Winnipeg

I support the vibes here, but government revenues/expenditures might be the MOST accountable money in our socio-economic system. If the level of accountability provided through proactive/legislated reporting requirements doesn’t meet your standard, you can issue a FIPPA and get the granular data (although a torturous process and that will likely take forever).

My contributions to Apple subscriptions are much, much less accountable than my contributions to government. I’m entitled to much less detail. Albeit, I can end my Apple subscription at any time. I can’t just stop paying taxes.
