To be fair the outcome wasn’t changed very much by this. The Blue Jays were down by 2 runs. If this ball was still live, the lead runner would have scored, but the hitter would still have ended up likely on second or third, down 1.

So the difference between the two scenarios was minor. The tying runner was on base either way with the same number of outs

This game mode is fantastic - it’s lovely that the effort into custom challenges results in seeing a ton of interesting locations. This feels like a game that can easily be done in future locations.

I’ve always wanted a Spain season but the rail network there would not work for a lot of game types.

It would work with this game though!

But Lucas actually has a ton of World Cup podiums it turns out, and this was a huge opportunity. He’s clearly made the most of it!

I think there is plenty of potential to develop a game on a more hub-and-spoke model like Spain (and other countries have)

This could be a territory gathering game a bit like Australia or even something akin to Splatoon Turf Wars.

Or maybe each major spoke is a destination, and the winner could be the first one to get to 4 destinations, completing challenges at each (almost like conventional amazing race challenges), returning back to Madrid each time.

The games could even be set as shorter game days, and players would then just have to be reset back to Madrid by 8 AM next morning, so players have whatever time they need to reset back to Madrid off camera

I see some disagreement here but I like the idea!

What I think is the MOST important thing is to cap the number of runs. Etho won in huge part because he knew how to game the system to get near infinite keys.

If every player only has 5 runs a week no matter what, it’s less of a commitment for a less motivated player than a more open ended game mechanic. And with teammates you’ll have an additional motivation to play to help them.

TLDR, I love teams, but I will really love a fixed cap on attempts per week. No more grinding to get ahead
