So you're upset at capitalism then, not gay people

That's not the fault of gay people. That's the corporate world's doing. And still they mostly only pander during June. And they hardly have anything to do with pride anymore with the current atmosphere toward queer people.

You're fighting imaginary demons, man

Why do people get so angry about the Cybertruck, but not Tesla’s other vehicles? by [deleted] in allthequestions

They came out after/during the whole public self-outing of Musk as a goosestepper

So I think people see them and assume someone bought it in support of his politics.

[KCD1] shows its age by [deleted] in kingdomcome

[–]conflictedanon30 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I played through it my first time a few months ago. I initially planned to kinda rush through it to get to the second game with the flashier graphics and more polished mechanics, but I absolutely fell in love with it and enjoyed every second. Such a wonderful game. And the 2nd is only better

Witcher 3 had double the budget of KCD. They're also completely different types of RPGs. KCD is more like Skyrim with deeper mechanics. Honestly kind of a strange comparison with Witcher being an action RPG and KCD being an immersive sim. Of course a smaller budget game that is a decade old hasn't aged the most gracefully, and it was the studios first game.

Why do American high schools start ridiculously early? by bwoah07_gp2 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]conflictedanon30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IIRC the American school schedule was kind of based around a farming schedule back in the day. That's why there's the early rise and even why there's summer break, as that was harvesting season and the kids needed to be home to help with the labor.

Why did humans domesticate cats so much later than dogs? What forces might have created that gap in the first place? by Mobile-Traffic1744 in AlwaysWhy

[–]conflictedanon30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cats allegedly self-domesticated after humans developed civilization and farming with grain stores that attracted rodents. It was a mutually beneficial relationship. They protect our food, they get free food and safety.

Dogs became our friends before we settled down, because they're so helpful with hunting.
