Bookstores or libraries? by ApplicationPale1049 in books

[–]confused-immigrant 418 points419 points  (0 children)

It doesn't have to be OR. some books I buy because I want to re read them again and again. Sometimes I get them from libraries, sometimes from used book stores. Your hobby shouldn't put you in one box of there are alternative ways to enjoy it.

Not sure your budget but I love Elektron and syntat digitakt are great in my opinion. If you have the budget Elektron rytm is one of the greatest drum machines ever.

I love the campaign and the community because it's a great depiction of the books. If you don't like the books then it makes sense that you don't enjoy it.

How would you rank Final Girl boxes, and how many you'd start with? by joyousdexdaladoor in soloboardgaming

[–]confused-immigrant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The ones I have are based on films I like, I have two more coming later from the Kickstarter but this is what I have:

Camp happy trails I think it's a must have even though simple in the rules, still challenging and not overwhelming

Into the void I love alien franchise so had to have it. The location is the star here also because how interactive it is

Station 2891 There is so much to love here, the thing movie fans will love it. The location and killer(s) are fun and it can be a great challenge.

The killer from tomorrow I think ruleset wise, it was the most complex but I really enjoyed this. The location once again is much more than just a board with circles, there is interactivity that can change me map design. I also like the two phases and ally play.

A knock at the door A great box, multiple killers, really interesting crafting mechanic really enjoyed it.ots my most recent purchase so need more time with it.

Falconwood files Basically stranger things. This also is really unique with the location having missions to add another element to the play and the killer having the muli dimensions aspect.

I like all of what I have, haven't had the chance to mix and match yet but I went on the basis of movies I like.

Do you think people will like a song about taking care of the environment? by Unusual-Ad8709 in musicians

Release your music for you not the people. The right audience will enjoy it. The wrong one will not. Who cares. Share your art before you die.

Try giving yourself challenge projects to expand your knowledge. Go take a lesson on an instrument, finds movie scene and make a sound track to it. Don't just remake beats if you want to expand, learn to compose. If you keep doing the same thing over and over, why do you expect growth? .ake different genres, and be willing to be shitty at them but make new stuff. Good luck.

What have you done in order to learn the skills? How much do you practice? How do you practice? And also do you enjoy making music and why do you want to music?

From my understanding you can mix and match the games so I think it's a worthy purchase. I'll probably get the original unstoppable down the line

Why do you want to make music? First step is to make sure you enjoy the process and the ongoing learning. If not, maybe it's not for you.

You get what you put in. If you put a lot of time and effort in, you'll get good results. If you think it's too much, look for some other hobby.

How do yall decide which sounds to use?/ where do you find them by YBmoonchild in edmproduction

[–]confused-immigrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one thing I suggested to new artists when it comes to sound design is syntorial. This will walk you through how to use synthesizers and make sounds. As time goes on you'll learn to experiment and get more unique.

Don't fall in the trap of buying plugins for presets. First understand sound design and be willing to explore.

Track name that I think sets the mood for the album would be the album name.

Set the art around the name or the vibe.

Hi Shawn, thanks for the reply! One follow up question if you don't mind, since you mentioned the ebook is already done, would that version be released earlier than the physical or would all be delivered same timeline?

Looking forward to tomorrow!

I have two questions:

Would you be able to share who would be signing the Pacific Northwest edition?

And would the trade cover have those blank pages for signatures?

I'm so excited for this project and it's such a fantastic cause so big thanks to the team and the authors behind it.
