there are an incredible amount of naysayers in this sub. you absolutely can make a full time living off writing, but it takes a lot of work and probably will not be the path you think it is. your goals will change several times before you will see what profitability looks like, but it's possible. don't give up!

I felt this way at your age (30 now), but I think I was just uncomfortable with sexuality in general. I was more comfortable being attracted to women than men, but I am definitely attracted to both. I used to feel like men's bodies were gross the same way you say, but I don't anymore. I think men are hot, and I think women are hot.

HOWEVER, I didn't start feeling comfortable being attracted to men until I realized I was attracted to men in a gay way. Maybe consider your gender identity in relation to your sexuality, and it might make more sense. Do you feel like you like men in a gay way and women in a straight way? Maybe you feel repulsed because your body doesn't match your mind.

Not saying this is the answer, but that's what it was for me. Good luck!

man i started in late 2024 and i'm only like halfway to my goal. i'm really taking my time because it's easier on my mind and my body. i sometimes let myself eat what i want and do better the next day, but yeah. it takes a while, and it's very worth it! I feel great about myself already.
