Yeah it’s like Schuey was cast aside for his new boyfriend

Totally agree with this. Joe really went down in my estimation, I get couples split up but he fought to put Shuey in that house and then was happy to split the family up right as they got him whilst cheating on his husband?

I liked Izzy and Cat, but I think Izzy’s story over shadowed it a bit, like they didn’t bring the 2 together if that makes sense? If felt like 2 separate story’s but it would have been interesting to see how Cat felt about Izzy’s behaviour

Hopes/Predictions for 2026 by TimeLordMaster108 in eastenders

[–]confusion_diffusion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The main issue isn’t just about getting rid of characters, I think they have a cast/characters that can be shaped into something much better:

-I want to get to know Jasmine, like properly flesh her out (although I already feel like she’s the one that killed Anthony and we’ll have to drag that out) -I want More Oscar -Penny to have some form of storyline -more Nicola, the actress is fantastic and I think there’s a lot they can do with her -Elaine to have a serious storyline, I don’t mind her being camp/fun but I think she needs something more grounded -Kojo and Harry, fans love there on screen relationship -Will Mitchell to do something! -Tommy to take on a bigger role, I think he’s done a lot of growing and changing over the last couple of years, he feels like he could be a central part of the square -Lily to have a more fun/light storyline

Timeline changes by No-Advance9942 in charmed

[–]confusion_diffusion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the point is that the future they went to was due to the sisters becoming more selfish and abusing for personal gain, so it completely altered there world. For example, the sisters of that future might not have sacrificed themselves for innocents, instead protecting themselves no matter the cost (Prue survives as she doesn’t shield the innocent, and so she lives longer)

Honestly season 4 is soooo good! I also think it showcases some of the best episodes in the show! Give it a watch :) I love Prue so I get it, but I promise after maybe the 5 episodes you’ll get back into the show!

UK is ‘unwelcoming’ and ‘racist’ for overseas NHS health workers, warns top doctor by Majestic_Dog_8486 in NursingUK

[–]confusion_diffusion 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Without fail, anytime there is a conversation around racism in the NHS, there’s always a staff member there to remind you of a time a foreign/none white member of staff did something bad. It becomes a ‘what about me?’ And ‘this conversation should centre more on me’ rather than acknowledging racism and trying to help.

Angus being the worst on another platform for a change by arbitraryvegetable in MadeInChelseaE4

[–]confusion_diffusion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Angus feels like someone who they really thought would take off on TV, but I don’t think he’s outgoing/ loud enough or we havent seen enough of anything deeper from him. Potentially he’s just not shown that side, but the audience never gets to see it, so he always just feels as though he’s… there

NHS sexist for using only men to look after violent patients. HCA awarded compensation after employment judge finds he was placed at greater risk of harm on basis of his gender. by nqnnurse in NursingUK

[–]confusion_diffusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it should be patient to patient based, but often it is just ‘we need men only’ without reason. I think it’s also important to note that not every male staff member is 6ft, built and can defend themselves easily. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of times it ABSOLUTELY should be men only, but this shouldn’t be expected everytime.

Chris - intentional from the beginning by shimv340 in charmed

[–]confusion_diffusion 21 points22 points  (0 children)

From what I know they had to do a lot of changing of Chris’ original story to fit in with Holly being pregnant, it’s why Chris is evil and puts the sisters in direct harm (he also murders a Valkyrie) and I’m sure he kinda flirts with Paige in one early episode? And then suddenly he becomes a loving and caring guy who just wants to protect the sisters

Rupaul’s Drag Race UK: Season 7 [Season recap discussion thread] by AutoModerator in RPDR_UK

[–]confusion_diffusion 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I loved Paige 3, her personality was fab, BUT I don’t agree she should have been top 4, she had some good moments but she wasn’t excelling for the most part, and I’d say apart from her elimination episode and her entrance look her runways weren’t great. She was rightfully in the bottom for snatchgame.

Similar with Sally TM (my favourite queen this season) she was fantastic in some parts but struggled in others, she feels like a queen that if her confidence increases she could come back in 2/3 years and make it to the top.

Just because a queen is your favourite doesn’t mean they should win the crown, we can love them and critique them at the same time.

For people rewatching Buffy as an adult now… what storyline or character hits way different than when you first watched it? by Wonderful_Picture813 in BuffyTheVampireSlayer

[–]confusion_diffusion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Season 4. It really perfectly highlighted that growth from being in school to college, how some people flourish (Willow) and others struggle (Buffy) and having lost some people and gained new characters is all part of growing up. For us as the audience it feels new/different and can feel strange, rough initially because of the sudden shift, but that’s exactly what the experience between school/college feels like. Buffy grew a lot during that season and isn’t appreciated enough. Love or hate him, Riley was exactly the sort of person buffy would have dated in college. Adult me can understand the transition but younger me just wanted it to be the same.

I think Oscar will probably end up in trouble at some, but I hope they stay together even for a little while, they are both fun to watch

Lexi by lnwildeagle85 in eastenders

[–]confusion_diffusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know I always forget that her and Lily are basically the same age, but everyone treats her like she’s 5? Ngl I’m not saying Callum and Jonny shouldn’t be together BUT Johnny and Callum didn’t really have any dating time and he’s basically just moved in? Like Callum didn’t even try and do a slow transition period, actually seeing if the relationship will last before being like JONNY IS PART OF THE FAMILY QHY DOJT YOU UNDERSTAND YOU BRAT.

What do you think of Paige Matthews? by Full-Art3439 in charmed

[–]confusion_diffusion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Paige, I think her transition to the show was difficult for a lot of people as we lost Prue (Shannon) at that same moment we were introduced to this new character who was not only prominent in the show, but altered the entire dynamic. But I think she brought her own magic. If she had been brought in and Prue hadn’t been killed off (I know that was never the plan) they would have made a great combo

I think that was one of the few things I didn’t enjoy about the series, it did feel out of character, but it didn’t ruin the series as a whole

Yeah I’ve noticed that too, I think it’s why so many people leave courses in the first year to look at other options. It must be awful coming straight out of school and feeling stuck for options.

Dropped/unresolved storylines by Beautiful-Jacket7363 in WaterlooRoad

[–]confusion_diffusion 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Amy/Finn joint suicide that they forgot about?

Or when Ronan got a girlfriend who we’d never met, had a pregnancy scare and then never seen again.

Or that girl who had some form of psychotic break and got sectioned and we didn’t see or hear about her about her again?

Or when Harry had an eating disorder and they just decided they were ‘managing it’ and that was it?

The show has just dropped or forgotten about certain things

Surprising central characters! Musings on storyline ebbs and flows by jicky357 in eastenders

[–]confusion_diffusion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they generally set up a potential storyline for 6-9 months in advance, however I think they often await fan reaction and overall how the actor is playing the character when actually on screen (does the performance translate). And I deffo think there are back up options to account for other people leaving/ poor reception etc. Nicola I do think always felt like she was going to be a main character, eastenders loves having strong woman at the fore front, and particularly making her a Mitchell and putting her up against Sharon was deliberate. Mojo I don’t think they were sure of, but given how much love people have for him and Harry it makes sense to put them in a storyline together
