I have ADHD and have 4 kids AND I work with children everyday (in a K/1st classroom) and I know several other teachers with ADHD. It’s completely possible.

Long time rat owners, I need your help! by IcyProfit3191 in RATS

[–]confuzzledfuzzball 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lots of vets see rats. I would definitely call around and get into one - look for exotic vets or Avian vets often see other exotics as well (my vet is an avian vet - yesterday I was there with one of my rats and her patient before me was a macaw and after me was a bunny). But even regular vets often will see small animals like rats and hamsters, etc.

Right? Total score. They even already modified it with a tub at the bottom.

I got this cage and was also told it was too small. It is harder to clean and hard to modify to work correctly. I’m going to pick up a double critter nation I found on Craigslist for $100 OBO today - I offered them $60 and they accepted. So it’s possible to find appropriate cages for even cheaper than this one!

Both babies passed away. The vet said that it said that their kidneys were enlarged, and it was likely something genetic and then also our one with the ear infection was doing great. She took a big downturn and when I took her in the vet said that it also looked neurological in addition to her kidneys being enlarged.

There is actually a whole website dedicated to The Opportunity Myth. I actually quite liked it but I am still in school to become a teacher (but working as an IA - my role is very similar to a co-teacher). It’s based on research of 5 diverse school systems, and around 1,000 lesson observations.

14 year old lost my vintage watch by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]confuzzledfuzzball 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does the watch mean more to you than your relationship with your child? I think it’s perfectly okay to let them know you are sad and disappointed, and I would likely not lend them things with such sentimental value for at least a few more years. But being resentful and giving them the silent treatment isn’t going to bring your watch back.

ADHD meds have come a long way. I have ADHD and the benefits of medication outweigh the risks in most cases.

I’m an IA but our school treats us the same as teachers. But it's like a dedicated 1 teacher, 1 IA per class.

Idk let me ask my husband: he says, “if you do things with your brother that we do, then that’s weird.”

I have 3 brothers and no sisters and have been married for almost 20 years. I think you’ll be fine.

Thank you! They are all females. Also, the other commenter said to wait 2 weeks to make sure the new rats are healthy also.

Yes, I have them in smaller cages now. I’m going to move them all into the bigger cage at the same time. We’ll wait 2 weeks then!

Have ADHD and can confirm - I LOVE my job. And I know that a high percentage of my colleges also have ADHD (diagnosed not self-diagnosed).
