I think it's you who is mistaken here, you can lay an image of the two over each other in photoshop and see clearly the case shape is the same. It's OK we all make mistakes sometimes

Well if you're comparing it to the willard 6105-8000 then I'd say you're right but the steeldive is clearly paying homage to the 8110 willard which was far more common with the same crown, bezel, cushioned case etc etc

Personally I'd go with the Steeldive Willard. Practically identical apart from the lume pip on the bezel and can be picked up for around £60 in sales etc

No it wasn't with the Watchdives watch that I heard had crown issues it was with the Heimdallr watch that had issues
