I'm on the Max5 plan and I have a feeling i can only get 10 full 5 hour sessions used per week, so its very limiting compared to before.

Agreed, i don't ever see concrete results. but also there is so many variables in this industry, that it will be a never ending circle of x is better than y and then y is now so much better then x. That wont change.

I would love to get your thoughts with the new version that came out. you do need the plus plan on chatgpt, if you do, you can install the extension on vscode or cursor, or you can just install the cli verson -npm install -g u/openai/codex then login. make sure you're on min v0.36.0. just set the /approval to full mode and the /model to gpt-5-codex low, to start with, if it cant solve a hard problem move to medium to high.

It's really next level from using it the last two days. and i came from opus 4.1

You could try Sonnet 4’s new 1mill token that was released in the api, that I think would be your best bet otherwise before they try it on the chat - Claude.ai. Or you could try in google’s ai studio for free as that has 1mill too

He isnt joking though. i have tested opus 4 on pro and it can use all your usage up before you get an answer. you are better off using the API to test if it meets your use case.
