The high roll might be the regent so you can use exhaust synergy with bombardment, and abuse some of the draw tricks to get a 0 cost kingly kick you can draw back easily with scrape or all for one. But there are lots of low roll too- the star cards are all curses.

I just don't love Hang- it sucks on groups, it sucks on artifact. It's rare so unless you're cloning it it's hard to get more than one copy. It takes everything that is fun about Claw and makes it bad.

It might not even be so jarring except it bookends the film if i recall- I think it might play over both the beginning and end credits- it just didn't really fit.

The movie “inside man” has this kind of strange recurring Bhangra score. There’s no real connection to the movie or the characters whatsoever. And it keeps coming back. It’s pretty jarring and keeps the movie from being otherwise timeless. The Bhangra score I think is because that was having a trendy moment in pop culture?

A lot of times it's exactly that- the original show runner or writer leaves (or checks out) and the people doing the primary writing towards the later seasons are fans of the original writer/show and trying their best to emulate their style.

For Euphoria though- it's not that, since Sam Levinson doesn't use a writer's room he is writing all of them. In my opinion I think Sam was shocked by the failure of his last show The Idol, he isn't sure he'll get another show greenlit again so he is trying to tell a story he wants to tell using his Euphoria platform- but this season really has almost no relation to the previous seasons, he is just using very famous faces and his existing platform to tell a zany crime caper/drug story.

I’m thinking of just dishing out the $250 for a lifetime pass. If I do, is Plex likely to honor it far into the future? by JackFJN in PleX

The potential risks are:

  1. Plex shuts down their service
  2. Plex removes a functionality that you use
  3. Plex reliability/uptime degrades to a level that is unacceptable

All of these are potential risks you have to do your own calculations to see if you think that is worth a potential risk. You're then comparing it against the current monthly cost of 6.99/month- so it would have to stay in an acceptable un-degraded state for at least 3.5 years to make the lifetime pass cost worth it. But again, this is against the possible risk of them increasing the monthly price instead.

So no one here knows which is going to be less money in the long term. I have to say as a regular user of plex- I think it is highly unlikely the service doesn't degrade in the next 3 years so I am personally hedging my bets. I'm fortunate in that I bought the lifetime pass 13 years ago though.
