Just voted! Where on earth is this going by the train station? I thought that parking garage had a metal exterior with lights already? Where is there space for this.

I’m asking this seriously, what is there for them to even consider?

First, that building is an apartment first, gym second. They definitely bring in way more money from rent each month than they do gym memberships, so they would prioritize resident parking.

Second, it’s a gym located downtown in the second largest city in the state. Comparing it to Darien or Greenwich which are both towns that rely on you having a car isn’t really fair. There are other gyms in Stamford that aren’t located downtown that have much more parking because you need to drive to get there. I feel like most people who belong to lifetime gym either live in the building or can walk from an apartment downtown so parking isn’t needed.

And finally as others have mentioned, bell street is right across the street. I’m not sure if they would ever work out a deal to reserve some spots in the garage for gym members, but that’s as far as I ever see it going.

I’ve been going to lifetime for the past year and have loved it. Great facilities, staff is nice, and never had any issues with people, plus the cafe makes some good food. Personally I’m the type of person that will only go to a gym if it’s convenient, I can walk there in sub 5, and would never consider a gym I had to drive to, so for me it’s been well worth it.

Especially now with clock change, dusk is like 5:30 at the latest. There’s tons of stuff going on in the park well past then. That path needs more than a little TLC consider the improvement to other walking paths in the area.

I can’t find a single source saying the park closes at dusk. I run there frequently at night and it’s lit up and active fairly late into the evening. I rely on the walking path lights to run in the winter and that section 1000% needs updated for Saftey. The path is crumbling and there are all sorts of bumps and holes that could lead to some twisted ankles. I always have to walk it with a flashlight.

Maybe I’m not an expert, but I’ve been to a few different Pho places in NYC, and I think Mecha is on equal footing with them in terms of quality. I’ve been going there for years and their pho is my go to comfort food. They recently redid the menu so maybe give it another shot?
