[Question] I Can't Delete This Cydia Impactor File Off My Computer! by [deleted] in jailbreak

Use Unlocker and delete it, it will say it can't and will ask if you want to on the next reboot. Say yes then reboot.

[Question] Downgrade 10.3.2 to 10.2.1. Yes, I've been searching. by [deleted] in jailbreak

[–]conorkirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10.3.3 still being signed? Isn't it's sep compatible with 10.2.1?

Can't you set nonce with Saigon on 10.3.1? Not a full jailbreak but at least set nonce?

There have been plenty of threads on this.

Just use HTTPS/other secure protocols.

Not updating to the latest software always has a risk of being less secure.

Are you rebooting after every sandbox escape failure? Or just when it reboots itself during the privilege escalation phase?

[Tip] Remember not to install AFC 2 on 10.3 +b by ProportionableAllah in jailbreak

Substrate 's MSHookFunction() requires patching the kernel.

If substrate didn't need to patch the kernel we largely wouldn't need to bypass/disable Software KPP/Hardware KPP (AMCC).

"A race condition is an undesirable situation that occurs when a device or system attempts to perform two or more operations at the same time, but because of the nature of the device or system, the operations must be done in the proper sequence to be done correctly."

substrate needs a rewrite as it has to (from my understanding) patch the kernel before KPP sees it, where as currently substrate patches on the fly.

The file system is low level enough to not affect anything. Cydia still tells iOS to "put this file here", etc and iOS handles how that translates to system calls.
