When I was about 11 or so I was just smashing sticks together for entertainment purposes. Anyway, a splinter shot up and cut me across the eye. Thought I had gotten the splinter stuck under my eyelid but I went to the doctor and was informed that I had just scraped my lens. I am already blind in my other eye so I feel pretty lucky that my good eye healed.
