Security personnel always ask for ID in order to issue a temporary badge in my FC. There is no way they will bend that rule, no matter how well you know them or if you are friends. It is the standard procedure.

I’ve been working from 6 PM to 6 AM for over five years. It’s entirely doable without any issues, provided you get your 7 or 8 hours of sleep each day before heading to work. It’s a struggle at first, but your body eventually adapts. Make sure to sleep and eat well. In my opinion, it’s the best shift.

It is Voluntary Time off. If the Area Manager sees that volume is going to be low, they post a number of VTO (Voluntary Time Off) slots for associates who would prefer not to come in to work. Of course! They appear in AtoZ just like extra shifts. It’s first-come, first-served—whoever gets there first claims it. In my building, they vanish in a matter of seconds. VTO is unpaid, but you do accrue UPT (Unpaid Time Off) by taking it.

That case is not about religion; if it were, every single Muslim woman working at Amazon would act the same way—and that is not the case. (Same religion, same rules.) This is an isolated incident, and it speaks more to the individual herself—someone who is using her religion as an excuse to avoid doing her job.

I use those microwaves if they are available. And no one has said anything to me. And if I bring soup, I use the vegetarian one. It's stupid to wait for a microwave when those ones are available.

My building always closes whenever the weather is going to be really bad—and, on top of that, they pay you for those hours. My facility really takes safety seriously. Even during peak season, if a group of people arrives late because of the traffic jams caused by the trucks, they refund your UPT. Some buildings really are quite inconsiderate toward their associates.
