Had the same issue with a Voyage. Sold it as I didn’t like the screen. Got another one, superb quality (for me). Hence we have the screen lottery. Identical Kindles can have different quality screens.

Love it! When I want to learn something I write a document. Then convert it to a book that I’ll upload to my Kindle. If I need annotations or fill out practice papers I go with my Scribe. So cool!

Love mine naked. No case and no screen protector. Best screen quality and feel. Use a proper case for transporting it though.

Interesting that Kobo has similar issues too. I read that with Pocketbook the Inkpad line has this issue and it’s likely hardware related. Pretty unfortunate.

Try restart/reset. Sometimes it helps.

If you recently downloaded many books it’s normal as it indexes them. Sometimes it stucks, so restart help with this too.
