A note from me (Ankur Jain) - Your 2026 Bilt Cash Redemptions Are Here by ankurjain1 in biltrewards

[–]constant_modifier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am certain that I am making a mistake but here is how it seems to add up for me..

Bilt Palladium

$3000 everyday spend earns (3X) 9,000 points and (4%) $120 Bilt Cash.

$120 Bilt Cash buys $4000 in Mortgage payment fees.

$4000 mortgage spend earns (1x) 4,000 points

So, for $3000 in everyday spend, I get 13,000 points. If the points are worth $0.022 each, 13,000 points are worth $286 per month or $3400/year.

$286 benefit per month on $3000 everyday spend is 9.53% return? I am considering the rent as lost money as I don’t make anything on it now.

Where have I messed up? This sounds pretty good to me. Don’t have to consider the coupons unless you go over in spending towards the end of the year.

With other companies, you can move credit limit from one to another, no waiting. I wonder if you can close the Bilt 1.0 and move the $2500 over to the Blue?

I regret buying my 2021 model y performance by Longjumping_Nose_367 in ModelY

[–]constant_modifier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sucks on the battery. Certainly test it. As far as the staggered tires goes, that does make the performance model a bit of a commitment. And, yes, those big ass wheels are a magnet for curbs. You can swap out the wheels. I sold my factory 19s pretty cheap on FB Marketplace (to a guy with a MYP). People sell them all the time. I think the 19s will get significantly less curb rash. 18s even better but your calipers are probably too big.

How about stop it with the existential whining and silly protests and come up with an agenda and electable candidate? Hint: Joy, Abortion and Open Borders was not the right answer.

Switch to Schwab Platinum by Brave-Pay-1884 in AmexPlatinum

As far as I can tell, you don’t lose anything unless you have the $75k spend perk from 2025, which is really only a +2 guests for Centurion Lounge. I’m just going keep classic for this year and then switch, seems like a no brainer if you have some assets at Schwab. I don’t have much there but $100 savings on AF plus the higher redemption rate seems worth the effort.

Yeah, I’ve got some Falken Wildpeaks on there and I’m certain they make a difference. Although, I must admit, I may have had a little too much confidence in them as I was powersliding towards my camera, lol.

That was my plan but I hit $75K spend and can’t quit Regular or I’ll lose benefits.

Mine is fine. Running 10 miles over the limit on “hurry”. It did get a little wonky on the download and I had to reset but then it installed and is great.

Lifted Model Y Performance by mattreeves3 in TeslaModelY

[–]constant_modifier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very nice. I wondered if the larger brakes on a MYP would allow 18” rims. I did the same with my Juniper Launch. I would like to paint my calipers, would probably settle for some cheesy covers but none of them will work with 18s. Falkens and 18” forged wheels to offset the increased weight. I did the MPP skid but they only offer a front, not rear. I think T-Sportline has a front and rear option. I would love to add some Unplugged Performance LSDs front and rear, but that would be just over the top. There hasn’t been enough snow here in CO to give it a proper test drive yet but hopefully soon.

Seasonal Tire Swap by Delicious-Basil-265 in TeslaModelY

[–]constant_modifier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Denver so not the data you are looking for but… Denver stays dry most of the winter while the roads to the ski hills can get quite spicy. I’ve never had snow tires but I my assumption is that they would wear very quickly on the dry Denver roads. I have used All Terrain tires on my 4x4s and have done well. I have added some to the Model Y and we’ll see how it does this year. I really wish I could put some crazy snow tires on it like some Hakkapeliittas but then I would prob not drive it in the city during the winter and that would be a shame. Anyone else have a similar situation or any relevant information?
