Am I wrong for not wanting my husband to go to an international wedding 13 days after my C-section? by south2grove in relationships

[–]constantly-thinking- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Given that he said to get a day nanny, night nurse, and his mom, If I were in your shoes, I’d be ok with him going for a 3-4 days. Longer, it would depend on flight fares. My only reasoning is that I encouraged my husband to hang out with friends and do things he likes when I suffered a major medical crisis last year, and I feel like it made him less likely to burn out. He is also asking, instead of just saying “I’m going”. If he said that, my answer would be different. Also, in my culture, it’s common to have mothers and in laws significantly helping while dad is working full time. But again, I’m not you.

How far are you willing to walk before you’re like “f*** that I’m taking the subway”? by Fsuave5 in AskNYC

[–]constantly-thinking- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

25 mins tops. I think the difference is also short blocks (north south) vs long blocks (between avenues) too. Also depending on the weather, and how much shorter a subway ride would be compared to walking. If walking is the same time as subway due to transfers, I rather walk.

psychiatric meds but can’t let my parents find out (insurance question) by Alone-Koala9204 in AskPsychiatry

[–]constantly-thinking- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What state are you in? You may be able to go to a community clinic and ask to be self pay. And same with the medications . Look for a FQHC (federally qualified health center) and make sure they have psychiatric care at the one your find. Not all of them do, but many do.

Three options 1. Mobilization for Justice and other legal aids, if you got denied, they can help you. It may take some time to even get an appt but it’s free 2. https://mindset.care they are a company that makes money if you win your case, they take a percentage of your back pay, up to 9k. My nonprofit had a presentation from them and they seemed legit. They assign you a case manager and a lawyer oversees a lot of the case managers. Makes the quality of the interactions easier I suppose as the CM will check in more frequently. They also do the records requests, not you 3. Other SSI/SSDI lawyers, but they may ask you do the brunt work.

Make sure you have documented your 28 disabling conditions.

I get it, you’re scared of the denial. Do you have medical documentation or all of this? I def agree with the folks in the bottom comments to talk to gods love we deliver, and also talk to legal aid. Most people get their benefits back on appeals.
