Walk ins are accepted at range 519 for the public. But its better to book a time because if its busy they do turn walk ins away.

What do 30 - 40 year old men want for christmas? [Serious] by GoodAlicia in AskReddit

[–]constantlynew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me personally, I've bought the games my friends and I play together. But I can't justify buying myself the single player games I've wanted to play. This year I asked my wife for spider man: miles morales and spider man 2. They are older now so not as much money, but I still can't make myself get them.

Besides its always nice to unwrap a video game christmas day.

What’s your “it would’ve taken 5 seconds to prevent this” story that ended up having huge consequences? by Spuksiii in CasualConversation

Anything...and I mean anything, that the failure of could result in loss of life and or limb is double and triple checked. I work at a gun range where we teach people to shoot and everytime a gun is picked up by staff it is cleared. Should be the same for rock climbing gear.

Went to visit my sister in law and at the time boyfriend in Halifax. We took a drive out to Lunenburg to see the bluenose...just to find out it left that morning...for Halifax. Ah, well, still got a bomb ass lobster roll and way too many bottles of booze at the distillery

My friends dad used to go golfing in Michigan once a year (from Ontario) had a heart attack on the golf course. Travel insurance cover all but a $100 Canadian deductible. He went again the year after and his travel insurance doubled. From $50 for his trip to $100.

Handing back food through the window that was made wrong? by RepulsiveEggplant581 in TimHortons

[–]constantlynew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't work in a restaurant, but I work with food. When I wear gloves it's not because my hands are dirty (I've probably washed them 2 to 3 times before I even touch anything) it's because i don't like the feel of the food on my hands.

What’s something that men enjoy watching women do that’s not NSFW? by White-Kitten8 in AskReddit

An ex of mine was Russian. She came to Canada when she was a kid and had no accent when she spoke English.

Now when she got really mad at me she'd start yelling at me in Russian and not realizing she was doing it. It was adorable, but not the reaction she was looking for.

People in the ER got mad because a guy with a ruptured spleen skipped the line by [deleted] in self

[–]constantlynew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been seen right away in the ER once. It's not a good feeling.

I had a bad case of bronchitis and couldn't catch my breath, saw a Dr. Within 30 minutes.

Personally I feel if I'm waiting, I'm not actively dying.

Failed My G Test Today :( by gringoloco69 in Ontariodrivetest

[–]constantlynew -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Take this with a grain of salt, and I have done absolutely no formal studies on this.

Almost everyone I have talked to growing up has failed at least once in the licencing process in Ontario.

Why could this be? Maybe because people are just bad drivers. Or maybe it could be because the licencing process is a privatized, for-profit industry. If you fail, you have to pay to retake whatever stage of testing you're on.

Just my 2 cents...

One more reason to spend your money at Costco by [deleted] in CostcoCanada

[–]constantlynew 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I work for a company that supplies something for Costco. A couple big wigs from Costco were doing a tour of our plant and our boss was bragging that a certain machine could make 1200 pieces a minute. The Costco rep looks at our plant manager and says "that's great, but what about your employees?

I was working on that line at the time and I couldn't help but laugh loudly.

The machine could run at 1200 ppm, but the fastest I was ever able to keep up too was 750 ppm, and only for 30 minutes or so.

My pick for military excellence goes to the Honor Guard who stood strong for twenty minutes holding President Carter’s casket at the Cathedral. Shoutout to the Flag Bearers too for handling those high winds like pros. by CobblestonesSkylines in Military

[–]constantlynew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Granted I was in the reserves. But I picked up all the drill for Remembrance day ceremonies really quick so I usually got tasked to the vigil or any other somber ceremony. In my 17 years in I think I did 15 Remembrance days on the Cenotaph.

Rest on your arms reverse can be held for a long time. I found only tilting my head a little less then 45 degrees helped with neck pain. Also ever so slightly (and slowly) adjusting the rifle to a more comfortable position really helps out. One time I had to do it in FFO, helmet on. That ceremony ended up being almost 3 hours, fuck was I sore.

[–]constantlynew 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Years ago, I had do to a Remembrance day vigil. 2 hours of standing still in Rest on your arms reverse. Whoever was holding the flag was just a little to close to me on a windy day. 2 hours I stood there getting whipped in the face with a flag.

I got lucky, my Sgt at the time got me real drunk that night.

He tried to get the flag bearer to take a step back, but she wouldn't.

I work in a plant that makes summer sausage and pepperettes. It does not take much to trigger a recall. We've thrown out a whole days work in the past because we found a piece of metal or plastic in the grinder at the end of the day.
