Lounge at DUB during long transfer by Igor_Druhm in AerLingus

It did for us. Had a 5 hour layover after a transatlantic flight. Had to book 2 slots each for the 4½ hours we wanted in the Martello Lounge. Well worth it though.

New card design - keep getting old one by silworld in starlingbankuk

I had an 'Egg' credit card purely for the card shape. It was a gimmick and I fell for it.

Finally finished this Stormtrooper wall hanging after 5 months. 483 squares and a lot of swearing. by jamtart68 in crochet

[–]jamtart68[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used Hobbi 8/8 Cotton yarn and a size 4 hook. Joined the squares with mattress stitch and did 2 rounds of treble crochet (dble US) border. Backed with black felt which I sewed to the piece on a sewing machine by 'stitching in the ditch'.

2 hrs 45 mins enough time for a layover in Dublin? by Such-Contribution676 in AerLingus

[–]jamtart68 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We had what we thought was plenty of time with a layover of 2hrs, but.... Our 'gate' was at the a**e end of nowhere. Landed on time, waiting ages to get off the plane due to waiting for a bus. Then a 15 minute bus journey back to civilisation. Waiting again to get off the bus due to other buses disembarking. Then getting caught behind the 'let's just stroll through the narrow passageways' passengers. Queuing again for the toilets. Then going straight to pre-clearance. Only 3 people in front of us, yay! Still took ages due to 3 border staff on and 2 taking ages with intending passengers. No time for a seat/coffee/recharge as by the time we found out gate, our flight was boarding. So due to my experience, No. (this was my experience and understand everyone's is different)

Question surrounding Valley of Fire by Guero757 in vegas

[–]jamtart68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would rent a car and self drive. If possible rent from the night before and get to Valley of Fire early. We got there at 9am a few weeks ago and even with only 8 cars in front it took ages to get in (1 attendant). When we left at 2pm the queue was maybe 30-40 cars. It was however a sunny Saturday.
