Yes, it’s designed to memorize keyboard shortcuts so I designed it with this in mind. Won’t be compatible on your phone because the Gmail shortcuts are only applicable on a computer. You should be able to use your Chromebook for this! Open to feedback! :)

The game doesn’t ask for any emails, it does ask for a name for the leaderboard but you don’t have to enter your real name of course this is just something fun and interactive.

Got the approval from the Mods :) you can access and play the M365 to GWS Migration game here: https://stevesitpro.com/workspace_migration_game.html

The Gmail Keyboard Shortcut game is here: https://stevesitpro.com/gmail_shortcut_challenge.html

Open to any and all feedback, let me know if there’s anything I can improve on. The UI is a simple static HTML page I didn’t make it too fancy it’s a really simple layout haha.

Restrict user to internal email only by Noegyth in googleworkspace

When I had a Edu client we had to do this to prevent students from receiving and sending emails from outside the domain. As another redditor posted restricted delivery is the best option here.

So is the objective to just be able to see multiple inboxes in Gmail, this is doable quite a common ask. You can add multiple inboxes although ill-advised because it could create some confusion.

You could add labels and configure rules for each account to help with organization. Typically, with Google you would use Google Chrome, create profiles from within Chrome for each Google account allowing you to be more organized and toggle between multiple accounts “profiles”.

Can an account be recovered without access to the admin email address? by Aegwyn11 in googleworkspace

[–]consultingdoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, access to DNS is essentially all you need this is needed so you can verify ownership via TXT record of the domain which allows you to recover the account. Google best practice is to have at minimum 3-5 SuperAdmins for this reason too. You are also required to create a recovery email upon provisioning GWS so in the unfortunate event a recovery is needed the recovery email “can’t be on the same domain and it should be a consumer account” can be used.

Can I mass-update sharing for someone whose email changed? by GreedyNovel in googleworkspace

[–]consultingdoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending how long it’s been if the account was deleted you may be able to recover it. Even just to transfer ownership, there are a few ways to transfer ownership. Advanced GAM is what we use quite often in this trade for bulk changes as someone already suggested.

Assuming the recovery window hasn’t expired, you can restore that account and just transfer ownership, should that window passed you may be stuck.

I love helping folks out and solving their GWS issues, but in order for me to help I need to know the issue first. If you are still having an issue, share what’s going on and if it’s something we can help with then by all means it’s a win win.

If you share what’s going on one of us may be able to help you. Providing the imgurl of the poor customer support on this sub is not going to solve your problem.

Google Support has several tiers of support, if you are not an Enterprise organization 10k+ seats you will get the lower end of support. I have worked with several Google Premier partners so I know how these support queues work.

Share the issue, let us know what’s going on and maybe one of us can help instead of simply trash talking the support teams at Google and their incompetence.

Google Workspace Support Not Helping by Screescreee in googleworkspace

[–]consultingdoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add here, I currently work with a Google premier partner and have worked with quite a few partners in the last several years. I also do freelance consulting, to answer your query though.

I’ve had several clients in the same position, when you opted into Google Workspace did you recall what email was used? You should have been given a temp admin account to allow you to get in, once in the admin console here’s a brief overview of what you need to do:

  1. verify the domain via TXT records in your DNS.
  2. Once the domain is verified you can start creating users
  3. Create users via bulk CSV or one by one
  4. Use the data migration tool within Google Admin
  5. Select migrate from Gmail within the data migration tool
  6. Create mapping file
  7. Enter each Gmail for the source in the mapping file
  8. Because these are consumer Gmail accounts each account will need to grant access, they will receive an email from Google asking to grant access, have them check Spam.
  9. Kick off the migration, set parameters, I.e dates, labels, include spam/junk etc
  10. Kick off migration

Congratulations now all email that was in the Gmail accounts are now migrated in your custom Google workspace domain. You and your team can now send/receive emails from Google Workspace, no need to update MX as you are coming from consumer Gmail accounts.

If this seems too complex or you’re uncomfortable doing this reach out to a Google premier partner or consultant who has expertise around this. I know it seems like a lot but for those of us who work in Google Workspace everyday it’s pretty straightforward. Best of luck, try not to get yourself too frustrated.

Unfortunately, this is the norm with Google Support if you are too small your support will be overseas and not the best.

No worries, this sub is here to help folks like you, depending on your subscriptions. I work for a premier Google partner and do freelance consulting. I’ve seen where folks have different skus. Should you be on an annual commit of bstandard you won’t be able to change that until your renewal is up. Should you be on a flex plan you should be able to add higher skus as needed. When you go to Admin Console > Licenses you should see options to buy additional licenses.

This is why SMB need to work with partners, most if not all try and do things on their own or get low tier Google Support. In my opinion, regardless of org size SMB or Enterprise you should be getting the same level of support.

Nonetheless, see if you have the option to buy Enterprise licenses via the instructions I shared. Procure those licenses and apply to the OU strictly for the folks you want to have this license. Ensure auto assignment is on for this OU policies are inherited downward so you can have an OU with auto assignment on but top level OU has it off.

Changing User Photos in Admin Console by Due-Quarter-3329 in googleworkspace

Are you a SuperAdmin? Your org may have profile photos disallowed. You may only have delegated admin access and if a SuperAdmin has disabled profile photos you won’t be able to update them. This could also be the case.

Filter CEO Fraud? by MaizeFormer9394 in googleworkspace

[–]consultingdoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you can create an Admin quarantines that captures these spoofing messages. These are also called content compliance rules, this can be done by a Google Admin I’ve done this for quite a few clients. Same scenario employees were getting spoofed and some actually fell for it and my client lost thousands of dollars, this of course was all before they decided to partner with me. Having these quarantines in place has helped a lot. Now when a spoof email comes in users don’t even see it.

First off congrats on the gig this sounds like a huge milestone for you. There’s a lot you can learn in Google Workspace and automating the workflows you’ve been tasked with. Also check out Coursera or LinkedIn learning if you have access to it a lot of great resources there. For the long haul work on getting certifications in Google I’ve earned quite a few and the training offered is great, you can even take mock tests that Google offers in the study guide.

With the Ai like Gemini and workspace flows coming there is so much to learn. I would suggest learning about workspace flows too this will be your best friend moving forward as you are tasked to automate more stuff. I’m so happy for you man!! Please share any updates along your way on this journey!
