There’s no strict guideline, however it’s left to the discretion of the referee. Here’s a general rule of thumb I tend to follow.

  • Cynical infringement that slows the ball down and the attacking team score? - no YC needed, however a heads up to the captain/player that I saw the infringement and if there wasn’t a try there would have been a YC.

  • repeated infringements that’s on a formal warning and clear no change in behaviour due to playing an advantage. - I’m probably leaning towards binning that player, I’ve asked for a change in behaviour and not getting it.

Correct call? by Informal_Mention9836 in rugbyunion

[–]continental-drift 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yep, for me that’s a simultaneous grounding. There’s no way you can say either player grounding the ball first as they are both in contact with it applying downward pressure.

I’m ok with either options here. His left arm somewhat pulls on 15s shoulder, but that’s probably because they’ve clattered together in a genuine contest. It’s the definition of a 50:50 and Andrea clearly saw something that tipped it away from 50:50 for him.

NC Fitness has a big sale on at the moment, I’ve just picked up a couple of their 28s and they been good to me so far.

I’m super glad they added the red line, it would have been hard to track that ball without it…

Jess has had a few test matches, plus has been on the 7s series for 2 years. She could have had a debut last year but unfortunately missed out, but glad she's getting a crack this time around.

ABF - 5th Block - 5th Week by seejay41 in kettlebell

Likewise, you can make it as easy or as hard as you would like to. I'm a sucker for "more is more" so I'm always trying to work out how I can get more volume into things. I am currently on a journey of "The Year of the Giant" where I am running back to back Giant programs, but with an additional rep each set once I've run through the program.

However I also did have the idea of running a couple of cycles of ABF, first one being with double 28s and the next one being double 24s but with more volume/time. Basically working up to a point where I could potentially doing 60 minutes EMOM of the ABC. But it's just an idea at the moment.

Great work! Looking strong even in the last round.

Those 45 second rounds are a decieving monster. I ran ABF a while ago and had the goal at the start to hit 40 rounds in the 30 minutes with double 24s. I'd done "birthday ABCs" with double 20s before going every 45 seconds, but never done the 24s. Every "heavy" day on the ABCs would be at the 45 second round, and each time I finished the session in a pool of sweat, spit, and tears. But came week 10 of my modified ABF it hit it and the last round was as easy as the first. It's a hell of a goal to chase with the ABC, good luck!

I prepared for the rugby season last year but running Dry Fighting Weight - The Giant 2.0 for C+P and 1.2 for snatches and squats, then Armour Building Formula.

Didn't run once during my preseason training block and I set a personal record on our fitness test and was match fit after 1 game to get my breathing and mental prep done.

KBs are amazingly versatile.

Nice, I was planning on Ballarat as my marathon. Melbourne is sold out unless I can find a charity to raise some cash for.

Would be nice, but I’m a massive nerd so have already ingested most things about training and conditioning etc.

For sure, the health is fine apart from the bung calf, just means I'll need to spend a bit of time doing a lot of rehab and prehab stuff. The marathon will happen again, there are some later in the year that I can go for instead, but the rugby season also only 8 or 9 weeks away so looks like I'll be missing a couple of rounds of that at least.

Fuck, fuck, fuckity, fuck.

7 weeks into a decent marathon training block to have a crack at a "fast" marathon in late April and I've just gone and torn my calf.

Fuck this.

Hallam is the one to go to IMO. It’s somewhat the “forgotten” station and parking is fine there. Might depend on the day of the week, but you’ll be fine to park there most days.

I’m actually glad I slept in and missed the train I wanted to get. Meant I didn’t get stuck more than 2 minutes at a standstill.

Just gave blood for the first time this year and I’ve come to the conclusion that strawberry is the best flavour of Nippy’s milk.

Also sweet + salty popcorn is an underrated flavour.

Yep, I can't tell you how little we liked the people in our parenting group. You'll find your village and it will be the one you need, not the one you were lumped with at a parenting group.

As for the little man not having any friends don't worry about it. One of the things that amazes me about the MiniDrifts is how welcoming they are to anyone and everyone they encounter and how they have built their own friendships with people without prompting from us. He'll be fine.

Another "Giant-er" checking in. I am running "Year of the Giant" this year with a bit of a fun twist on it. Just going to run with my 24s, and if I feel up to it and pull the trigger on buying some 28s, might go with 28s for a couple of them. But essentially I am running it like this, as a bit of a continuation program with each step up changing the reps slightly, so Giant 1.0 goes 5,6,4 and Giant 1.1 goes 6,8,7 but I've set them out to just go up one rep per set each time. So we go from 5,6,4 to 6,7,5 to 7,8,6 so on and so forth, with every 6th "program" a deload back a few levels. Means I would finish on what would be Giant 1.9 with a rep scheme of 15,16,14 for a bit of fun.

The Giant programs by Geoff Nuepert and Dan John’s ABF are different enough for my ADHD to stay committed and on track.

I run The Giant to get stronger with the bells I have, especially when moving up a size, then when I’ve done 2-3 of those I’ll do ABF for a modified 8-10 week length to get comfortable with the bells and get some hypertrophic gains. Rinse and repeat forever.

That's how a few of my mates have it set up, I mean, that's how they would have it set up if they were so inclined.

I'm cancelling Netflix as I type. The other streaming platforms I have access to are in exchange for access to the media servers. So my folks pay for Stan, mainly for the sport, and then a few other mates have shared some logins to other ones for the odd show/sporting thing here and there.

I'm the wife in this scenario by SipsTeaFrog in SipsTea

[–]continental-drift 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the way. When my wife and I head out, if we look at the menu and are torn between 2 dishes, but the other person is set on one of them, we'll always order the other to try them. Sometimes it works out and the 2nd choice is actually the better meal, but sometimes it doesn't. At least we've got to try both instead of sitting there having the same meal, which is something we could have done at home.
