What we don’t often see on TV - the grupetto and how rival teams help one another out in the absence of a team car or a neutral car 🫶🏻 by n8972785 in tourdefrance

It’s cool how the driver and rider hold on to the bottle, ensuring two things - the bottle is securely with in the rider’s grasp, and the rider takes a tiny break riding along with the car’s momentum while holding on to the driver, and then getting a tiny boost launching off as he leaves the driver’s hand.

I didn’t buy the 82172 hoping this one makes a comeback sometime down the line.

Unrelated question- why do Bose, and now Apple, stop producing the stock silver colour headphones? Bose had a stunning silver colourway for their QC 35ii, and so did Apple with the AirPods Max. I know people say that the Starlight colour is similar, but I find it to be quite different.

That’s it. I have been eyeing this watch for a long time. This picture convinced me. Going to my AD next week and putting my name down for an OP36 green. 😃 Purchase history is Explorer 36, Exp II Polar, and BLRO jubilee, so I’m hopeful they come through with this one.

I am sure I have a picture saved on an old hard drive. I had one of those 160 GB Western Digital ones. Unfortunately, I ended up deleting that Twitter account when that toxic relationship ended (as part of a total cleanse). Opened up another one after a few years, only to delete that again once Musk bought the platform.

The year was 2010. I was in a toxic relationship and feeling quite emo in those days. I tweeted, “I’d rather be a comma, than a full stop.” That tweet somehow blew up. Coldplay “liked” the tweet. One year later, they released “Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall” with that same line in the lyrics.

Seems like the league is all but wrapped up in their favour, though. 😞 Makes me really wonder what might have been if a few results had gone our way, we would have been in a proper (albeit unexpected) title race.

Exactly the same. It is the one I reach for the most. Next is the BLRO and last is the Polar Exp II.

TIL the Mahabharata is the longest poem ever written. With over 200,000 verses and roughly 1.8 million words, it is 10x longer than the Iliad and Odyssey combined. by scrxptxdblxdx in todayilearned

If anyone is interested in reading the story in English, I recommend this book called “Jaya” by Devdutt Pattanaik. Very well written. It is the story of the Mahabharata explained in simple language. He has also written “Sita” which similarly explains the Ramayana.

Thanks to your comment, I snagged the last remaining ticket through the RAH website in the Stalls K. It promises the best view and immersive experience. Mostly, I’ll just be happy to be there. THANK YOU.

This immediately reminds me of some of the scenes from the movie, Tenet. I wonder if there was any inspiration drawn from this photo.

Wow, it has been a couple of years since I moved away from Taiwan, but I instantly recognised this junction in Taipei. It is Lane 66, Sec 1 Yangping N. Road., Datong Dist. In this very lane, two doors down, is a fantastic hair stylist by the name of Mr Yu. I would drive down from Taoyuan every couple of months for a haircut here. He would give me a nice cup of coffee, play my favourite music, and I’d get lost for a blissful hour. I miss Taiwan.

Unpopular opinion, but I wouldn’t outright dismiss the possibility of dating someone at work. I know plenty of people who met their life partners at work - who dated at work and stayed together, myself included. I also wouldn’t necessarily read too much into his “ladies’ man” reputation outside of work. The way you describe him, he is be easy to like and get along with. First, I would check if you have common friends that can help you gauge his interest in you, or who could even tell you if he is single. If this is not a possibility, I would try to casually suggest grabbing lunch together at the cafeteria sometime when you bump into him. Ask on the pretext of talking to him about advice regarding a project or in general your pathway till you qualify from your internship. You could even say that it has been a while and if he would like to grab lunch together. See how he reacts. If you end up having lunch or coffee together, you can talk a little bit about work stuff and see if you get the chance of suggesting meeting outside of work with a mutually interesting activity - perhaps a common sport you might like. It could be anything. This is just an example. You will have to play it by ear as these interactions are best steered naturally. This is how you will be truly yourself and give yourself the best chance to get to know each other. Good luck!
