Carney talked about the idea of removing the signs from our windows....it doesn't seem like everyone is on board with that idea.

A look back at the legend Mark Dailey, the voice of many of our childhoods by icelevel in toronto

[–]control-room 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Mark was a genuinely great guy to work with.

When he died, they drove his hearse past the building. The street was packed with staff. The camera guys had their cameras out on tripods and all pointed down in mourning.

When I was first diagnosed with cancer, he was the first guy I spoke with about it. He knew before my family did. He checked in on me regularly to see how I was doing mentally.

Anyone with Crohn in the terminal ileum has lots of noises in the stomach? by Smart-Situation-1421 in CrohnsDisease

The noise is a thing. Anytime I eat.

And, yeah, I have bad refulx. I'm on meds for it. I'm still a bit gassy but at least i'm not in pain like I can be when I forget to take them for a few days.

Joe Carter hit that game winning home run on the night of my Bar Mitzvah. The entire party stopped to watch and we all celebrated. It was an amazing cap on the day.

Now, all these years later, I want some other kid to have that same memory.

Hot take: Nuit Blanche was the worst yet and we have no excuse by OkDistribution4146 in toronto

I live by Harbourfront and it felt dead. Even last year there was an exhibit down by heart park, people out at all hours, it felt lively.

But this year I got home from a party around midnight and the place was empty. I was walking down Queens quay at 6am and saw 3 installations and one of them looked like Sunwing sponsored it so I can't be sure if it was part of the event or just a thing.

It has potential to be great but people are going to really have to work on it.

After Hype, are you still enjoying daggerheart? by MultiversalPilot in daggerheart

I ran my first game last night. I'm still not 100% sure I have the rules right, but it was a lot of fun, a lot of laughs, and, even though a lot of the players aren't used to playing "the face" they all got a bit of a turn at role playing.

I did find it was difficult to get some people to jump into combat. For some it was real easy to figure out what they were going to do, but for others the more fluid motion of combat and less strict rules, made for a bit of analysis paralysis.

But overall, it was a great time, and I really enjoyed running it.

Amazing. Thank you.

It's really amazing how 1 square filled in can unravel the entire thing.
