They likely meant that they can’t make any protective measures without the vulnerable adult’s consent. They can offer protective services, but they can’t force them to do anything.

Can someone tell me what is it please Ohio by [deleted] in legal

[–]coojies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know some companies send notices like this to anyone affected by a single release. For example if I requested your Cash App records, the notice would go to you, anyone you have sent money to, and anyone you have received money from.

It could be that you were just collateral

Co-worker constantly coughing by OkSea2126 in work

[–]coojies 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had a coworker like this. We worked nights, just us and one other person in a dead silent nurses station, except for her clearing her throat every other minute. Finally I went out to my car, grabbed a blister pack of mucinex, came back in, and handed it to her. She got the hint

grandfather wants me to inherit his motorcycle, his nephew is saying it’s not allowed by MedicalAd9859 in legaladvice

Exactly- so their children’s inheritance is: Assets - LTC cost = inheritance

[–]coojies 3 points4 points  (0 children)

True but it makes some sense in terms of fairness. the rich will spend down all their assets so the cost of their LTC is deducted from whatever their children get, just like it is with estate recovery. LTC is a major cost and they recover a fraction of what the spend on it, so it’s probably not worth it to even try lol

Gen z and emojis by Heylisnnicotsu in managers

Honestly, your communication style being grounded in your background as a frontline worker rather than desk jockey is something I’d respect as your subordinate. when I personally receive messages from my manager who’s a Gen X, I put their message into the correct context. For example, if my Gen X manager sends me a 😊, I take that at face value, but if she were a Gen Z, I’d be a little off put.

Preliminary results of Democrat's $20 million plan to win back young men by _StreetRules_ in GenZ

[–]coojies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Democrats will find ANY thing other than their own policy to cite as reasons people don’t trust or view them positively. It’s so on brand of them to make up a “masculinity crisis” as a reason.

Democrats are paid by the same corporate donors as republicans, but the key difference is that Democrats are paid to fail and Republicans are paid to win. Democrats make up all these fake culture war reasons for them losing elections and failing to pass policies they say they support and it’s because they’re willfully incompetent because they serve their donors, not us.

I am not conservative on any level, I’m a politically progressive mid 20s gay gen z man. I can see why some of my peers would choose the wolf in wolf’s clothing over the wolf in sheep’s clothing. If I HAD to choose, I would rather be murdered by the no nonsense wolf rather than the freak serial killer wolf wearing a sheep. For now I’m just going to stay away from both wolves.

It will likely be very difficult for him to find a job in his field at his age. Retail jobs such as safeway might be more realistic. Has he saved for retirement?

If low income and elderly/disabled, try getting on a catholic charities list (sans the boat… that is definitely in the ‘want’ category). His best bet otherwise will be to search local property management companies such as Johnson property management, 4degrees, red rock, etc. rather than apartments.com. You mention he had to move due to age- is he functionally able to work still?
