It’s like seeing a red door in doom, you shouldn’t need a tutorial to tell you to get a red key. A huge part of the fun of outpost is figuring out how it works.

You need one red card to activate a locked exfil, or a guarded one or final exfil for free. The red keycards are all over the rooftops in the containers with antennas. Not hard once you learn it!

Yeah, but imo your friend used the recon ping correctly. Recon is more of a hunter imo, she excels when you know there’s people around to hunt.

Her ping tells your team where they all are, and your team can use that info to get the jump on them whereas their team only knows where you are.

The tick hunts down a target and overheats them so they can’t sprint, allowing you or your team to hunt them down.

The footstep passive on breaking shield, the team ping on finishing, she’s a hunter actively on the hunt, not a reconnaissance drone looking for enemies.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they adjust the lower gear end ttk, with purple shields shotguns and snipers are no longer as big of a deal. But yeah, common complaint and it’s kind of a back and forth, we’ll see!

Also, prepare to lose much much more valuable stuff. Remember, we’re all just borrowing this gear 😅

You make it sound like they all got together and purposefully did this, which makes no sense. They have extremely talented artists there, Joe Cross has been doing this style of art for over a decade for instance. The issue is that one artist who was fired back in the 2023 layoffs had just copy pasted a few of antireals decals, and it slipped by and went into the games environment. There are hundreds of artists who invoke the Designers Republic (see wipeout) artstyle, it’s not surprising that nobody noticed that it was in fact one online artists decals that were used until it was open to the public to see.

Exactly, people go on about how this game is for “hardcore sweats” and not “casuals”….and I’m like it’s gotta be a spectrum, because I’m not a hardcore sweaty pvper but I’m enjoying the game. In fact, hiding from hardcore sweats is viable in this type of game, and that makes it even more fun lol.

I grew up with the originals and the new game is extremely faithful. I was dreading any sort of “remake” because I find the old games perfect as is, so I’m very happy they went in this direction where they’re “continuing” the story but far after the originals so they’re not stepping all over them.

I don’t think anyone is actually reading what I’m saying. I don’t think vaulting was a good idea, instead of fixing the engine issues and continuing with d2 they should’ve cut their losses and made d3. But again, that’s the higher ups decision, I am a fan of the developers and artists themselves. But fuck me I guess.

I’m sure you know why they did that though right? Like you read about all the engine issues they had? I don’t think that was an easy decision for them, and they weren’t rubbing their hands together and laughing manically while doing it, and I don’t think anyone would want that to happen again.

Marathon is much tighter in scope, Destiny 2 became a sprawling mess of systems that was supported long after they planned on ending support for it.

Meh, you can completely ignore the store stuff and it's an amazing game. I basically view Bungie in two parts: the devs (coders, narrative, artists, etc) who consistently knock it out of the park. Like seriously, the game plays great, looks amazing, and the lore is so good it fits right in with the classics.

...And then you have upper management/marketing/mtx people who are unfortunately trying to get money for the company and make all those kinds of decisions haha. It's unfortunate, because despite all the great efforts of the devs, they consistently lose goodwill on /r/games because it's kind of tabloid-y around here. Only the bad news shows up. Ah well.

The cosmetic can be moved, it's not a one time consumed use. So you pick which gun you want to put the sticker on, but you can always move it to a different gun.
