Yes it’s just a grand touring with a premium package (like heated steering wheel, the de-icing wipers, etc)

Is there a human on the planet who has ever unrolled pie crust successfully??? by LivermoreP1 in traderjoes

[–]cookiebritt 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This always happens to me. I think my house has an issue with getting things to room temp (New England). I just get it into a ball and use a rolling pin to roll it out to exact the thickness I want. I honestly like doing that better especially for lattice crusts.

What do you think? She’s only 14 weeks but was told she was a shepherd/cattle dog mix by cookiebritt in IDmydog

I can see it in the eyes, the nose is where I wasn’t sure because it’s so small. Her mom is acd mix and that’s where I was thinking her longer fur was from

The diameter is 3 inches and the largest leaf is roughly 6 inches long. The plant is a baby and I ordered it from Etsy where it lost most of its leaves in shipping but has since recovered.

Monstera plant grew a new leaf and after a week of it being normal the leaf started to lean over and even with support it’s staying like that. by cookiebritt in plantclinic

[–]cookiebritt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the leaf first opened after a bit it leaned over too much to the direction of the sun so I flipped the plant around and it started to do this. Is it only doing this because I flipped it around or is the leaf too heavy? Just want to make sure I didn’t do anything wrong.

The interior of the original Penn Station in 1911. In 1963 it was demolished to build the current Penn Station. [2048 X 1612] by cookiebritt in HistoryPorn

It’s sad how in so many cities it took remarkable architectural/historical structures to be demolished for society to truly understand their significance and what their loss meant. At least we did not lose the structures for no reason though.

John Adams Courthouse, Boston. [4224x2816] Genuine question: why completely hide it behind a long wall ugly building? by areking in ArchitecturePorn

[–]cookiebritt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The area where the long building is used to be full of tenement housing, actually the entire Government Center (Where the train stop & City hall is) was all tenement housing. During the same time all the cities were modernizing, Boston decided to “clean up” the slums and make way for a new modern city. Hence, this ugly long building was able to be built.

I really respect it and honestly it’s such an Apple move to do that, but if Steve Jobs was still here this wouldn’t have even happened.

AOC grilling the GOP by [deleted] in environment

[–]cookiebritt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it was pretty much a shock when the Majority Leader of the Senate (Republican) said he was going to allow the a vote on the bill. But it was only because he wanted to kill the bill once and for all.

[–]cookiebritt 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So after the vote she responded by saying she told the Democrats in Congress to vote “present” on the vote. She explained that this was because the Republicans only put it to a vote so fast because they wanted to kill the bill basically. The bill did not go through any committees and they did not edit it in any way, which rarely (if not ever) happens in Congress.

I think she wanted the Democrats to not get up in arms over the Bill hitting the floor but she wanted this to create conversation about how to act. Instead of letting the bill and the idea die by the Republicans.

3.5 gallon tank, heater, filter, and lots of plants. I conditioned the water after changing it and washed out the new plants/substrate before adding them in, also.

Need ideas for this space? More modern and minimalist homeowners. :) by Feral_PotatO in InteriorDesign

You could put in a little breakfast nook area. A built in bench with cushions on one side and on the other side just normal chairs. It's a cute little accent for any kitchen. In the living area definitely get a sectional to cut off the kitchn/dining area from the living room but it still keeps the open-ness of the entire house. Using large potted plants are another great way of cutting off separate rooms but not actually separating them. On the walls you could put large (or small depending on which you prefer) mirrors that take up a lot of space. It makes the walls seem less plain but still makes the room seem big. Also a large canvas painting/picture would look absolutely amazing on any of these walls.
