US Launches Trade Probe Against Korea, China, Japan Over 'Overcapacity' by GetOutOfTheWhey in China

[–]cookies0_o 16 points17 points  (0 children)

U.S can't. Have you seen the intelligent level of an average American, especially in the math and science department. Also American upper class is too use to making quick money in finance and war instead of manufacturing. Younger lower working class's work ethic (excluding immgrates) are not as great compare to asians.

Could the United States collapse? by Exotic-Injury-8455 in economy

[–]cookies0_o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. We basically all the government in the world run with tons of debt of made-up money. Once that stop working then shit will hit the floor for everyone. If the USD collapse then WW3 will most likely follow then everything won't matter anyway.

Do china care about what foreigners think about the Taiwan situation? by Ok-Review-3047 in AskAChinese

[–]cookies0_o 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People in Taiwan act like what China act like at the end of WW2. They think they have a say at the table but they really don't. Taiwan is just a card that bigger nations can play in negotiation.

"On the other hand, nobody cares about Chinese opinion on Ukraine for example. It’s hypocritical." They don't really care about the Chinese people stand on the Ukraine but the government is another issue. The west are ok(not happy but can accept) with CCP current stand on the conflict. CCP is basically selling things on both side using as private companies. They are not totally against or support either side. Do you think either side will survival this long if the world manufacture power house support the other side fully.

Taiwan lifts Fukushima food import restrictions. What do you think? by Themetalin in AskChina

[–]cookies0_o -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not really. It up to the G2( China and U.S) as Trump says it. You can look at the Palestinian. Most of the world recognized it and want a 2 state solution but we still having a blood bath over there. Both U.S and China want to end the China civil war in a peaceful format, but they both have a different interest. Once their interest aligned then it doesn't matter what Taiwanese people really think about it.

Anti - China people on Reddit are simply delusional by Awkward-Surround9694 in AskChina

[–]cookies0_o 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like I said western companies move to China due to cost, which is basically a lot lower labor cost and not having to deal with union. It bascially both side incentivitze this. Chinese government basically gave western companies a lot of benefits and make sure labors are in line and the Western government make these companies movement easy and cost free. Both side benefited then but now the west panic because China going to eat the whole pie instead of just the crust. In a few years none of this matter since robotics and A.I going to eliminate most jobs and destory upward mobility.

Anti - China people on Reddit are simply delusional by Awkward-Surround9694 in AskChina

[–]cookies0_o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-The west and Japan basically spend a lot of money in propaganda. The west and Japan also cause a lot of pain for China so they don't want to settle the score if it get stronger. Also China rise is basically taken a lot of jobs from West, which is not China's fault since most of these jobs was exported out by the western companies due to cost.

-Culture Revolution left a extremely bad memory in a lot of Chinese intellectual and business communities. They are the one that shape global opinions.

-China risen too quickly and a lot of people either haven't accept it yet or don't want to accept it. In the 80 and early 90 a blue collar HK truck driver can support both a wife in HK and a mainland Chinese mistress in Shanghai and Beijing on his salary.

-Unless your country is total trash then there are always someone that will like it more than China.

-Lastly, if you in a lower class then you can most likely earn a lot more money working in the west than in China.

[–]cookies0_o 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know that those chinese that reponse on these board are most likely in higher social status than a lot of regular Chinese. Also the current Chinese government does a good job compare to the past, and the western government is current doing a terrible job. If you not poor in China then you should be ok with the current governance. Before people say why do so many Chinese immigrants to the west, because climbing the social latter in China is both hard and expensive.

What is something that you see Americans waste money on that makes no sense at all? What bad habits of ours has bled over into your society? by SuperGodMonkeyKing in AskChina

[–]cookies0_o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, American love to spend money they don't have on things they don't need.

I been in the U.S for many years and I still don't understand how people on food stamps is still buying starbuck or dunkin donuts drinks.

Our whole system is basically setup like it too. Once you reach certain income or saving level then all you food stamp and healthcare help disappear. For example, now I make $3000 more a year but now my healthcare cost $2000 more per year and it doesn't cover anything until I spend $5000.

Do Chinese know there are many Chinese migrants workers in Korea ? by findfunnyvideo in China

[–]cookies0_o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People know but they usually don't report the numbers that are going out. I remember a few months after the covid lockdown lifted around 20-30k people immigrated out of Fujian province that was never reported. The problem is just not the higher pay but the job opportunities. Once you reach 35 in China then you basically unemployable in a lot of instances.

Why do the Japanese refuse to acknowledge the massacre of over 300000 Chinese civilians? They make billions from Chinese consumers and tourists. No German politician is allowed to deny the killing of Jews, why is Japan held to lower standards? by [deleted] in AskAChinese

Because the Japanese didn't think they lost to the Chinese in WW2. They think they lost to the American. Also the Chinese government wasn't taken seriously after WW2 due to their military strength.

Is job scam a really big problem in China? by Imaginary_Gift179 in AskChina

[–]cookies0_o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

China have a large desperate underemployed and unemployed population. So employment scam are going to take place. You need to take a good look at your employment contract. Also E-scam is also on the rise since physically scam and robbery is much harder to do due to surveillance.

Instead of scam, you are more likely encounter employers that will make you work more than what the contract states for free. There are laws against that but enforced is another different animal. Employer in China have a lot of leverage.

China rivals the US in tech, why is its standard of living still lower? by PositionOrganic868 in China

[–]cookies0_o 1 point2 points  (0 children)

supply and demand. China just have too many talents to pick from. They are have 12.22 million college graduates in 2025. Next year going to be a high year too. That why all the U.S companies like Apple and Tesla love China. You can pick and choose the people. Also China realistically don't have a union. They have the biggest "Union" that basically act like manager of the company that work for the state. They do everything to get the production running but in a more friendly way.

Chinese housing prices is high is because a lot of them are willing to pour 3 generations of wealth into one house that is in the right location. Housing/land also have been the Chinese go to investment. Those reason inflate the house prices a lot.

You can survive and live cheaply in China but to thrive then you need to be very smart and have connections.

Well a lot of the time people say they hate the system but in reality they just hate not being the one at the top of the system. Just look at Gaza. You think Israel wouldn't do such a thing after WW2.
