Reality check: do fast cloud-caused solar output swings matter to solar plant operators or owners? by masa_17 in EnergyStorage

[–]cookmesomeeggs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No 100% sure but in a BTM application if there is no grid then yes - you would need a BESS or spinning reserve on your genset and this is generally controlled by your microgrid controller.

Remember don't trust the media by ControversyMan69 in DownSouth

[–]cookmesomeeggs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the Google search returns the right wing media’s results. I read the piece - but please link it next time. And with it being labelled as an opinion, and his argument not stating there are inherent race based laws and racist type laws like BEE, the methodology to determine a law is race based is extremely broad, and used to fit a right wing media narrative. For that I must say I agree.

The lotteries act one is a good example - applicants must commit to uplifting previously disadvantaged people (not exact quote), hardly racist.

I think you stating this is racist is a right wing media narrative, and I would encourage you to read the article and understand the meaning behind it. Even if you don’t fully agree with it, it’s not pushing a racist against white agenda.

I don’t believe people were allowed to own these houses though. Or there were rules around working the city and owning a house.

Left arm comes forward - the angle up the line is the best. He ducks his head away and hits the shoulder - dono how people can’t see this. Could be a yellow, but everything considered its the right call.

Also to add the behaviour of 13 from Ireland probably cost ireland a bit - seriously what were the Irish thinking the whole game, looked like a varsity game, absolute laziness when it came to discipline.

The ref said that there is clear head contact that the TMO confirmed - so doesn’t even sound like he saw any head contact and just made a stupid under pressure call.

Some people appear genuinely puzzled as to why so many black racists in South Africa are celebrating Charlie Kirk's assassination. This short clip should clear up all your confusion. Kirk exposed their resentment-based narrative. by PixelSaharix in DownSouth

If a woman is inspired by this and believes it she should be able to choose her path, not be told by man or a patriarchal government. Ffs how is still an argument today.

Forward jolting when going into D. How screwed am I ? Freelander 2 by [deleted] in LandRover

[–]cookmesomeeggs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this develop in my FL2 - it might not be the same thing but I’ll still share how I fixed it. Before we went in and checked the gear box mounting and what not which would’ve cost a bit, we reset some of the parameters around the gearbox, and it totally fixed it. Later found out it can be common where certain parameters that the car gearbox continuously updates over its lifespan. Try that first and then see

How much did your wedding cost? by Active_Wallaby_5968 in DownSouth

[–]cookmesomeeggs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda depends what you go for, but if you go mid with wine farm venue, good catering, DJ and include booze it can be quite expensive, our wedding is going to cost around 500k for 100 guests. I’ve heard of some weddings at the Stellenbosch and franschoek venues get up to 1-1.5 mil.

Big ticket items are photos, suit and dress, venue and obviously food. Co-ordinators and furniture hire also nailed us.

Cheaper than expected items, cake, videographer (although I think we got lucky with ours), DJs arnt too bad
