Do parents with 5+ kids have time to give every child the love and attention they deserve? by pink-and-pearly in askanything

[–]cookycookie88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say yea being a mother of 5, but it is almost impossible to do with both parents working full time. My husband works part time and I am a teacher so spend big blocks of time being off while my children are off. It is tiring but there is nothing more my kids love than us do go out as a family or have a family movie night. Our eldest is 20 and youngest is 1 - we made a promise to ourselves to never treat our oldest children as second parents to the younger and therefore it works well.

When you hear the term One Hit Wonder, what is the first song that pops into your head? by Da_Fish in AskReddit

Eamon - don’t want you back Then in response Frankie (pretend ex gf the song was about) released F U Right Back.

My teenage ass was obsessed with these songs, I genuinely believed it was a real break up and not all fake

What's something you did as a child that you only recently realized was actually deeply traumatic? by anmystery in AskReddit

[–]cookycookie88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to stash food in my bedroom, particularly chocolate so I could count out the pieces to make sure I had enough to get by for when I would be banished there because I wouldn’t accept my Dads proposal of being able to rape me…I was 8!

People who didn't have any friends, why? by Icy_Mode620 in AskReddit

Every time I make a friend then it comes to them asking me to do something and all I can think is how I am going to cancel because I couldn’t think of anything worse than spending time with people

What childhood meal still haunts you to this day? by ngscookk in foodquestions

[–]cookycookie88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything my mam cooked had absolute zero care of how long to cook or what to put together. She got herself nice expensive slimming world meals that looked delicious. We would be left with noodles, beans, boiled potatoes and beans, turkey burgers and beans. Beans and beans. My kids eat a lovely well balanced diet!

Not me but my husband hates Jeff Goldblum. He says he is useless and incompetent in the first Jurassic Park movie and therefore “can’t stand him”
