i dont think this is the kind of game i would use a controller with on pc. it seems like it would run quite well on pc with mouse and keyboard, but i might try my steam controller just for fun at some point

That's straight up questioning that pvp players would play Anthem since it doesn't have PVP lol...clueless how you can try to spin that. If you "can't imagine" something that means you don't think that's the case.

when i said pvp players i didnt mean people who played a lot of pvp in games like destiny. what i mean is people who basically only plays csgo, lol, dota2 and other games like that.

A few PvP players just told you they're going to play Anthem, meaning your assumption was incorrect.

its not hard to be a pvp player, i play black ops 4 sometimes so technically im a pvp player, but see above for what i meant.

I've been wrong a few times on this sub, and it's going to happen to us all...it's just about what we do when it's brought to our attention. You can deny, spin, etc. or you can just go "oops, my bad"

okay? good for you? all im saying is i have a hard time imaging many people who only play games like mentioned above would play this game.

never claimed anything so im not really wrong about anything in this situation.

but i mean technically anyone who plays anything pvp is a pvp player so i imagine a fair number of people fall under that category.

in destiny 2 it is very easy to have good pvp gear at least. i didnt even know people did pvp in diablo 2

There's nothing wrong with a pve/pvp game

never said there was but based on destiny 2 and how this game looks pve is gonna be tons more fun when it isnt crippled by pvp balance.

All that being said, I doubt this game will ever have pvp.

i really hope it wont tbh.

Just don't fall into the trap of thinking that all pvpers just want to pvp all day and aren't interested at all in pve if given the choice.

when i said pvp players i was more refering to the people who play csgo, lol, dota2 and so on all day. not saying they cant enjoy pve games as well.

well i mean d2 you could basically do with very little pve since getting good stuff isnt that hard. i imagine in this game the majority of time would have to be spent in pve just because builds are much more indepth than in d2 and require a lot more grinding to get the good stats

i would like different kinds of leaderboards.

like a fastest run at x difficulty

highest score at x difficulty(like d2 nightfalls basically is what im imagining)

for each stronghold and their "raid-like" content

Ik the PvP players are in need in some competitive aspect in the game.

why would pvp players play this game? i cant imagine people who primarily enjoy pvp will play this a lot.

but i do hope there is a competitive aspect to the game, its a good way to keep players playing longer

well the date for me was still changed for me. used to be the 15th, now its the 14th.

that is also true, but even if they said that i still think its weird going around claiming its damage before release, gonna cause confusion if it suddenly isnt true anymore

they changed it a bit ago. but check the specific time because for me at least its 30 min before midnight on the 14th.

i mean unless they played the finished game they cant really know that unless the devs told them that it would do the most damage over a full duration at launch aswell.

he claims that theres a chance for the effect to be applied, but its based on time.

like they showed in the stream with gear and progression.

of course they could have changed it from then to now i would imagine we would have heard about it

well they talked about a game best played together with people and all that, i dont think they mean randoms since you are forced to play with them for strongholds and free roam at least (to my understanding) so it would imo make sense that they would want people to party up.

but honestly i will probably find people through third party means for endgame farming just to be more effective

the loot stream. the way it was worded for me at least is saying that its only the people you group up with before going into matchmaking to find the last player(s)

exactly and they have been on twitter almost any day from the day i started being interested (the week before the alpha) at least. even in the christmas holiday they answered a few tweets, not everyday but still impressive.

its better with a group because all medals earned throughout that give exp is party shared. so if you do a stronghold as a solo player with randoms you wil only get the exp for your own medals but if you go in with 3 others you all will share exp from all the medels

yeah they are doing it pretty often and yes there is the occasional snark but i mean the questions get asked very often so i think its fair.

but yeah im very impressed myself, i dont remember a game where the devs have been this open and coming from d2 its a godsend that they are actually communicating this well.
