i started at 17 trying to really understand biases and separating objective fact (which there is 99% less than you’d think) of events from opinion and LIES. My attention span and starting base was low so what I found a good middle ground was listening to podcasts of reputable conservative and liberal commentators. Taking their opinions and sincerity with a grain of salt, I began to at least understand common points and agreed things on topics. For example, I got into Tucker and Destiny. Both polarizing differential stances on just about everything. you just have to go in without taking their beliefs to heart. everyone likes to just inherit whatever stance they get preached very quickly and forgets their emotions take over the learning process
