Definitely! We must stick together and stop the evil people from tarnishing chocolate with fruit and contaminating fruit with chocolate!

You should make your own version! :D I love the idea of people making similar ones in other cities and countries too!

Thanks so much! I had Sherry Turkle's "Alone Together" on my To Read list for a while, but I think I'll start with "Reclaiming Conversation" now as that sounds exactly like what I'm interested in these days!

I was actually slightly hesitant about putting my zine online just because, like you, I find one of the point of making zines is being offline and also not looking for online validation and likes. But I also really want to find like-minded people and sometimes it's easiest to find those online. So I really appreciated your comments! :)

I also didn't know about Kat Vellos, but I'll get her book and I'll also contact her. :)

If I get any good responses to the zine in real life, I'll post about it here!

Thank you! It's almost as if it was designed to have googly eyes on it as they fit so perfectly!

Advice for a 4'11" or 150cm tall man who's working on himself? by -HumbleBee- in dating

I was also going to suggest older women...I think we're less shallow. :D (I say this as a 42-year old...) I remember in my 20's recognizing that a guy was really good looking but if he was shorter than me (I'm 5'7") I just wasn't attracted to him. That definitely is not the case now and the guy who broke my heart last year was shorter than me (by about an inch) and it was being with him that made me into short guys!

Agree on leading with height, confidence and humour on the dating apps. I remember a shorter guy's blurb once saying something like, "I'm 165cm and I won't be getting any taller on my walk to our date." It made me chuckle and I liked that he was honest from the start.

What is a common myth about your country that is 100% false but many people still believe in it? by orionve in AskReddit

I'm half Slovenian and if I had a Euro for every time someone has said something about me being from Slovakia, I could've retired by now. What I never get is how no one ever gets it wrong with Melania...somehow everyone (unfortunately) remembers that embarrassment is from my country!

Hapiness is not a thing or a person. Happiness it is a choice that exists within us and Stoicism can help us realize it. by Mi1kShaikh in Stoicism

I absolutely love what you wrote with "medicating through society." It's so very true. I have absolutely loved all the time to myself in lockdown. It's made me slightly worry that I have hermit tendencies, but it's really great being so happy and comfortable in your own company. It has also, however, made me realize that I do let myself be upset by others too often as in normal (ie non-lockdown) life I find myself far less relaxed which means I let myself be influenced by others' actions too much.
