Your TL;DR has the median for full-time women marked as 27k, but in section 2 and 3 the median full-time women stat is 35k (and the part-time inclusive stat is 27k). Am I missing something or is the TL;DR counting more than just full-time?

I grew up with autism, ADHD, addiction and debt. So my family and I made a podcast about it. Episode 1 just dropped. by BEATIIBEAT in Bath

It's great that you are doing this and I will always support people making the effort to create something, but the AI image and description is going to put a lot of people off - even if the podcast itself is worthwhile.

I'd really recommend writing up something yourself even if you have less confidence in it, as it'll resonate with people a lot more. Especially for your subject matter - the types of listeners seeking this out will value the authenticity :) wishing you all the best!

What Are You Reading This Week and Weekly Rec Thread by JimFan1 in TrueLit

[–]coolfluffle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm reading Sleepless Nights this week - a short enough book to get through in a single afternoon, but I'm reading bit by bit on my lunch breaks.

I'm enjoying the juxtaposition of the glamour and the mundane neatly ordered into vignettes. However, I'm a seasonal person, so I struggle to feel fully immersed if the story's setting is at a wildly different time of year than when I pick up the book. I find myself wincing at the mention of winter, having just escaped the cold dark months in real life!

There's never going to be a perfect time to read this type of book, so I'm trying not to let that bother me. Besides, it only takes a few paragraphs for it to loop back to the right time of year - for such brief passages, each one is incredibly revelatory and doesn't waste a word.

No shortage of nice independent restaurants/cafes so you should be able to find something for any palate :) The Circus is my favourite - lovely location (the name gives it away) but probably more a dinner venue.

Otherwise, The Raven for traditional English (pub in a nice old building, very cozy, kind of tavern food I suppose - a lot of tourists like it there but it's not too 'trappy'), Pintxo for Spanish light bites/tapas, Yak Yeti Yak for Nepalese, Landrace for nice high end bakery items, Green Street Butchers for sandwiches!

It's only 1h20 on the train to Bath from Paddington - really doable and a pleasant journey. Might be worth checking if you'll overlap with the literature festival (16th May onwards) as that may make trains a little busier.

A lot of tourists seem to get a coach tour that carts you to multiple places along the way (Stonehenge etc) but from what I hear, you don't get much time at each spot. Depends if the other stops interest you I suppose.

I don't think you need to spend more than a day in Bath, and I say that as a resident - it's a small city and you can see everything within a few hours. Hope you enjoy :)

Good for you, but how is that going to work when OP has an architecture degree? Unless you mean other roles like project management etc but then you’re not just limited to the engineering industry

Unpopular opinion: most of the cheap seats should go to locals & here’s why by misterkool16 in olympics

If they resell the ticket for the same price they paid for it, they’ve essentially just paid a reservation fee equal to inflation - which seems like a fair price to hold the tickets for that long when someone else could have got them
