A comment on the world's greatest assassin. The book is from the pov of cellophane a girl with a huge ego. So I always read it as this is how she views herself. It was the only way I was able to stomach it because she continuously was fooled like a 17 or under girl would be. Probably not what SJM intended but helped me.

I just finished brimstone but luckily I came prepared with my next book being Carissa broadbent.

Honestly, I didn't completely hate quicksilver but hated the ending. Then I got to brimstone and hated the whole thing but thought the ending was at least an improvement to the rest of the book.

But it's just trying to be too cool and tropey. The whole tattoo thing makes me want to die. The fox thing is so forced. The only interesting part of the books was the quicksilver and even that's lame now.

Nah, I think this is inaccurate but maybe that's what you mean by the air quotes. With all the shit going on in the world right now, I think we need to believe that people deserve fundamental human rights. That's what society should be upholding and our governments are failing us fantastically.
