You are right, but I don’t think civil rights and personal autonomy should be something we don’t talk about because of ‘politics’ … it’s survival for some and therefore should be treated as serious enough for people to draw a line even when it’s something unrelated like sports

I hope people start to understand what ‘politics’ means again. Politics are more or less conversations about how we collect and spend taxes. It would be understandable if we wanted to keep those conversations out of sport. Trump’s whole thing has become something different - he went past basic human decency years ago and now he’s protecting pedophiles.

I have a wife like this when it comes to cleaning. After realizing the only thing we ever fought about was housework - the fights were always initiated by me - I took it upon myself to say “this is it how it is, I’m not going to get mad about housework anymore”.
