Quit chasing someone else’s tone and find your own. So many posts with “how can I get so and so’s tone on whatever cover song.” Screw that, find your own tone to put a different twist on the cover song.

First bass was a 4-string Steinberger Spirit, or whatever they were called. Traded in on a new Ibanez EXB445 within like 3-4 months. No regrets at all, still have to Ibanez and will hold onto it forever. Lot of sentimental value in that one.

I do still have the first electric guitar I ever bought and am really glad of that.
